We checked in here awaiting our apt to be ready after failing for repairs. Traveling with our dog has proven to be a little bit of a challenge, this hotel does accept animals. With that being said, the rooms were not too clean but they were not too dirty. Being as though we are in a pet-friendly room, it did have a little bit of a musty pet smell and there is cat litter in the cracks and crevices. They do have a pool (no lifeguard on duty.Due to our dog we declined housekeeping, but they do clean the common areas everyday. The breakfast they have More selection on the weekends like waffles, fruit etc during the weekdays they supply coffee, muffins, and donuts. They have a great amount of space for parking and the building is wheelchair accessible. If you do, bring your pet here. Just be aware that all the pet friendly rooms are grouped together and you will run into other pets while you are here in case you have a reactive animal. On the safety aspect someone tried to come through our room connector door and also housekeeping. I'm assuming it was that tried to just come in without knocking or announcing themselves. And since we are on ground level you have to use a clamp and screw it in on the window track in order for the window to be locked. Since we have extended our stay (doing it by the day) they do deactivate your key card after every renewal and give you new ones. They have a couple of vending machines in the lobby that are a little pricey. A small bag of Doritos was 275 for an idea but it's nice to have as there's no corner store or anything nearby? Unless you want to go up the road to ShopRite or one of the gas station stores etc. overall, pretty quiet in the building itself- if you're on the pet floor like I am and people have left their pets to go out for the day, you may have a few barks that will start a riot with all of them, but it nevers lasts long. They do provide A mini fridge and a microwave right in your room. Also, we were not told about any kind of security fee or deposit which was 162$ when I had booked, not a problem. I fully understand but it would have been helpful to been aware of that cost in advance. Overall, not a bad spot. Definitely needs some updating and renovating. Our closet is missing a door and toilet was a little dirty(aside from water stains). We are going to be checking out within the next couple of days before the weekend because they do not do weekly rates and Saturday here is running about $300 so just be aware of the cost. It would be real nice if they did a weekly rate for us as we have been here almost that long-UPDATE If you should extend your stay check out is at 11:00. They will lock you out of your room as early as 10:00 a.m. which has caused nothing but numerous problems with many guests at the front desk since we have been here. They are not transparent about their fees, security costs, or pet fees even if you have a service animal. The gentleman that works at the front desk is condescending. He's rude and he doesn't care if you were not told about certain fees. He laughs in your face and kind of tells you not his problem. I was overcharged $250 in fees that I was not informed of and I'm still waiting for that to be rectified a week later. I would highly recommend you look at a different location where at least the front desk person is polite and understandable and tries to work with you instead of antagonizing his guests which I have personally witnessed numerous times also. My current hotel room is cleaner than when we moved into it. I have been scrubbing my own toilets, my own tubs. I've been vacuuming and even scrubbing stains off of walls. I also cleaned out the air vent for the air conditioner as we were all getting sick and noticed after a few days it was when the air was running. I'm not too sure what exactly causes it, but if you go into a first floor room as I have been nowhere else, it seems like all of the carpets are damp or dirty. They feel disgusting and you cannot walk around in your socks or bare feet which I...

My family and I visited Atlantic City, NJ and stayed at the Tropicana from Tuesday, August 10, 2021 to Friday 13, 2021. However, we wanted to extend our vacation by 1 or 2 days and the Tropicana did not have any vacancies.
To begin, I booked this hotel thinking it was the Red Roof Inn (some are pretty decent). When I booked, the reservation displayed Days Inn at Wyndham. After the fact, I believe the name was correct. I believe they changed the name from Red Roof Inn to Days Inn by Wyndham. I also made the mistake of booking through a third party, which I will never do again. My family and I stayed at the hotel for one night because the third party wanted to charge me approximately $400 to cancel my reservation made about 5 minutes prior and I did not want them to get free money from me.
My family and I checked in to Days Inn by Wyndham on Friday, August 13, 2021. It was disgusting. The rugs were dirty. There was a stain on the chair in our room. The bed skirt was dirty. I saw what appeared to be water damage. The hallway smelled like mildew. Thee window was dirty. There was a plastic spoon left in the refrigerator in my room. There were no housekeepers overnight. If you wanted a clean towel, you had to bring the dirty towel to the front desk. There was a used washcloth left on the shelf in the closet in our room. Our children got in to the pool and when we returned to our room, our room keys were not working. Staff was not friendly with the exception of the gentlemen who I checked in with when we first arrived. There were two elevators and only one worked. The day we checked out, the one elevator that worked was not working so we had to walk down from the 5th floor. In addition, there was other damage to the hotel. I did not document it all but attached a few pictures. Mind you, the hotel charged about $300 for the night.
My family and I checked out the next day by 11am. When I checked out, they began telling me my reservation could not be changed since I booked through a 3rd party but that is a whole different story. We took showers as soon as we got home. This placed needs to shut down or get a...
Read moreHorrible. No hot water. No sleep due to partying in room next door until 3am. Called front desk 6x in the hours of 9pm -3am. Was told maintenance was aware of the water problem and that others on my floor (3rd) were complaining as well about lack of hot water. So no shower & no sleep. Each time I called the desk the man who could hardly comprehend English had me repeat myself over & over so he could understand. I was frustrated but I speak very clearly. The language barrier was an issue. He did come up twice to tell our neighbors to quiet down but once the noise started up again, and I called, he told me to just call the police. He was done dealing with it apparently.
When I complained upon checkout, and asked for hotel manager the man shrugged & told me he is new and there was no one who could help me!! Then when I said well who is your boss, who do you call if the hotel has a problem..he picked up his cell phone, started yapping something in his language , LEFT THE FRONT DESK (he was the only one working) AND GOT ON THE ELEVATOR & DISAPPEARED!!! I waited a few minutes but he was not coming back..and I did not have time to wait longer or attempt to hunt him down. So I called Wyndham customer service to report this & the response they got from property owner was that there was no report about the hot water not working ((LIES!!)) If there are phone records I dont know but I hope Wyndham will investigate that further and issue me a refund for this hotel of horrors. If anyone else has issues I suggest you report this property owner to Wyndham customer service line & escalate it to the highest level. If they are found to be neglecting guests and not making it right, Wyndham will fine them $250. Dont let them get away with it!!!!
May I add too, what others have also reported here, there was no greeting upon checking in. I had to stand there while the 1 desk clerk was on his computer and wait 5-10 minutes for him to notice me. I also noticed this with other guests in the morning, being...
