Atlantic Granite and Tile — Local services in Accomac

The owners were very nice and the install went well. My issue is that about 3 or 4 months after the granite was installed we had a pot of water, not hot, but with a sous vide machine in it on the counter for several hours. when I moved the pot of water I noticed a crack in the granite. I then looked at the counter closely and found second crack in the granite in another area. My husband called and sent several emails. I think he contacted them 3 or 4 times. We wanted to know if there was some type of sealer etc that we could put on the granite to prevent this. We were told they would contact us when they were in our area and come by and look at it. We were told that several times. After a year, we just gave up contacting them. I know they are busy, short staffed and we all have had to deal with Covid. So, I am very careful what I place on the countertops now. Nothing with too much weight. Our initial experience was good, I just wished they had followed up with us. Never in my lifetime have ever been let down this much, I can’t even count how many times I took off work waiting for them to come install my bathroom Vanity. This has been going on for months, I don’t understand how they are still in Business and why they can’t give you a straight answer. I have been so nice and understanding with Covid still going on, but don’t make promises you can’t keep so I canceled my order.I’m not one to post bad reviews but I just couldn’t take it anymore. Atlantic Granite was amazing from start to finish! Julie was a pleasure to work with- she was patient and promptly answered all of our emails and questions. Thomas met us on a Saturday and walked us through options that were on site, knowing that this was for a second home and wanting to be mindful of cost. I ended up selecting a quartz that needed to be ordered but he never tried to oversell us and was candid about the various brands they carry.
