Bought a dress at the Hingham store, had a great experience. Went to return the dress the next day at the Marshfield store because I was in the area. Apparently because the tag was not attached to the dress anymore, they couldn't accept the return. Mind you, I used to work here and that was never a policy. Also, I still had the tag and the receipt, plus I had just bought the dress less than 24 hours before. I have never been told when purchasing clothing from here that for returns, tags must still be attached, which is absurd. The receipt says, "see return policy on the back" but my receipt is blank. Cathy from customer service who has been awful says that there's been a printing error, so the policy isn't being printed on the back of the receipts. How in the world is this my problem? Just because your return policy is online doesn't make any of this right. Thanks a lot paper store, worst customer service. As someone who used to work here, I am even more embarrassed. The first woman that I talked to on the phone told me it wasn’t their problem and that I needed to take it up with UPS. I called UPS and they told me that the item was lost and that only the merchant could file a claim. I called the Paper Store back explaining that this item was a gift and that I either needed a refund or another one sent to me ASAP. I was transferred to a manager named Kathy and she told me that she would personally email me when the refund was coming my way…that was 2 weeks ago and I have yet to hear from Kathy. Read moreI love the Paper Store and having been shopping there for years. Staff has been amazing with one exception. I was in the Hyannis store Saturday and purchased an item at full price. When I went back to my car I realized I had a coupon that I could apply to the item. I immediately returned the store to ask them to apply the discount. I was treated so rudely. I understand the policy where discounts can't be applied to past purchases. However, in this case it was minutes. The manager was so condescending and acted like she was doing me a favor. Honestly, I will never shop at that store again. One would think common sense would prevail...
