I have not been there. But heard you on the radio the other day and wonder how familiar you are with Ada? Now I want to come see your little shop!!! I used to love going to the T G & Y when they were in business!!! Brings back lots of memories!!!
I have a lovely plate from my great Aunt. She loved little purple violets. She collected cups and saucers and desert plates with little violets. There is one dinner plate that is printed. “Compliments of Jeffries Merchantile 1908”
She and her family lived in the Asher area and Her parents Janie and Richard Vallandingham are two of the oldest graves in that little Vista cemetery half way between Asher and Konawa. I am convinced that the only town big enough in 1908 to have a prosperous Merchantile would have been Ada.
Have you ever heard or seen anything that might lead me to find some information on such a place around that time!!!! I would be. Thrilled if you could help and one day I am going to show up in your little store!!!
