K Rhynes Surplus Store — Local services in Ada

Only complaint/s is it’s a little messy at times the hours aren’t the best for a lot of working people who go to work before they open and off after they close or to close to close to be able to walk in and check it out and the prices vary a bit and some things can be found cheaper and better elsewhere but overall it’s a good store and the prices aren’t bad especially considering it’s a small business and doesn’t get the box store price discounts unless it’s surplus items. Great for the outdoorsman and most handy men/women. I’ll definitely give them business again and recommend anyone who can make it in within operation hours to do so, as you never know what handy items you’ll find that you may need and not knew it or needed and couldn’t find it. Also the Unik brand leather riding jackets they have, I went down in one at 120mph and all it did besides road rash the outside was barely pop the inside stitches on one pocket, in other words it did its job well and Ive only bought that brand of jacket since for riding, they’re very heavy good leather and Ive bought more expensive and had it fail from regular use my current one that needs replacement has lasted fiveish years and worn a lot. In one ride it seen over 2500 miles and for most that’s all they put on in a year or the lifetime they own...

Even though I live 3-1/2 hours away from Ada, Ok where this store is located, I make it a point to go there every time I'm in Ada. This store reminded me SO much of the old hardware/saddlery/clothing store I remember as a child growing up. There is not many of these stores left anymore and I wish them well and much success in the coming years for the owners are so nice and accommodating. I have always loved going in and looking around. But lately it's not the same as it was in the past. The staff was on high alert and frankly a bit rude. I was followed by the employees the whole time I was in the store and was treated like I was trying to steal something. I'm not sure what made y'all so untrusting but remember we choose to come to your place of business and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness.
