UEV-490 sales review from and of RV Leader. We live in New England and RV leader is the closest place for us to learn about and look see many Off-Road Camper and Trailers. We specifically, wanted to look at a Conqueror UEV-490. We drove and spent the night before in a nice B&B. We got to RV Leaders and were expected. We were met at the door and helped (per our request) immediately. We looked at all the trailers and campers we requested and even more to help educate us about why one cost $ Vs why another cost $$. It really did help educate us. Plus, it helped solidify our decision. But, we were just looking and they knew this. There was NO high pressure sales tactic. Not from our point of view. We wanted the Conqueror UEV-490. We were open to buying but that wasn't our main goal. We talked a lot about what was included and what wasn't down to fine details. How things worked. What would we have to do to tow. What we would need to do to be happy campers (sorry for the pun). How much it really weighed dry VS full. We had educated ourselves (wife and I) as much as possible via Youtube and other sources. Our Sales man didn't know a whole lot about the camper. However, every time we asked a question he didn't know his response was " Hang on, I will find that out for you or let you talk to someone that does.", this type of honesty and clear communication was refreshing. Its OK not to know everything, but seeking answers is the way to go. The RV Leader team helped us in every possible way. They looked up stuff, talked to each other and us. They made sure to communicate clearly what they as a person and a team knew or didn't know. In the end they offered it to us for a price we could negotiate with. We did, they were happy to accept our counter offer. There was not a lot of back and forth. They set the purchase price fairly and we countered fairly. No stupid offers by us or them. We were happy with what we paid VS what others were asking for the UEV-490. The paperwork was what it was. It went smooth and as fast as can be expected. They did not try and slide any "incidentals" into the price. We had to finance and that made the paperwork chore longer for both parties. We asked that they only submit to two financial places and they did. We are very careful of our credit in this day and age. We got approved, here again paperwork was what it was. We filled out registration for our state, gave them insurance info, and all the other needed stuff to satisfy the bank. We were even semi-happy with the rate. I mean who is really happy with any rate! RV leaders held the camper until I could return to get it (weeks later). I screwed up and showed up a day early. They still got it to me and walked me around it to show me more stuff and to make sure I understood how to operate it. They made sure it was hooked safely to my truck. I have driven tractor trailers, 4 foot trailers, cattle trailers, and boat trailers. Yet, they didn't try and prove anything , just make sure it was safely hooked up. They made sure I had all the paperwork, keys (tons of keys), and was satisfied. I was. I would do business with them again. I would even recommend them to any person looking for a RV of any type, but off-road especially. TL;DR RV Leaders is worth doing business with again and was a great place to do business. They have some great people there and operate as a good team.

No dramatic hyperbole here, just the facts about the worst buying experience I’ve ever had when purchasing a major item (Opus off-road trailer). 1. The salesman had very limited knowledge about the camper he was trying to sell me (poor staff training). 2. The trailer had clearly NOT been washed/cleaned, when it arrived at the dealership. It had sat in the show room for a number of weeks with the lower sides and underneath still covered in road salt from the delivery (trailered across country in the winter). This resulted in salt corrosion of some parts underneath not visible during a casual inspection. 3. I was told by the salesman during initial discussions that I would be given finance options. I was not, I was given one, long term option with a fairly high interest rate. 4. The pre-delivery inspection/ cleaning was a joke - the camper had clearly not been cleaned (there was still a film of dried salt spray covering most of the unit). Several issues were not noticed, including, but not limited to, drawer slides not installed during assembly, broken light dimmer switch, corroded corner stabilizers (salt corrosion), rusted chips/dings on the frame paintwork, mis-alignment of tent canvas with body of camper. 5. This one was a biggy! On getting the trailer home and opening up all the compartment doors, I noticed the water heater was actually MISSING! The explanation given during a swiftly initiated phone call to the dealership was ‘oh yeah, the technician removed it because it was leaking, but failed to inform anyone’… really? 6. The pack-down of the air tent back into the trailer body took several attempts and at least 4 members of staff, again because none of the staff appeared to have a clue about the functioning of the air tent. I can now pack the tent, by myself, in around 5 minutes, after just two previous pack downs. I have received no formal apology or financial compensation from RV Leaders for any of the aforementioned issues. They have/ are sourcing replacement parts for me - which I am installing myself due to the fact that I no longer trust them to do any work on the trailer. That is the limit of their obligations according to the general manager, who informed me that ‘a deal is a deal, and warranty is warranty’. And that’s that! No phone call from the owner asking how they could have done things different, or to follow up on how things are going with replacement parts being shipped, help with installing, etc. RV Leaders - a prime example of ‘take the money, and get them out the door’. All in all, a terrible buying experience I hope never to repeat. UPDATE: As you can see from the owners response below, RV Dealers did NOT address any of my issues and just issued a generic response. In fact their response seems to confirm that their PDI’s (pre-delivery inspections) are indeed a joke. They insist they do a PDI on every unit, including the one I purchased. Well, look at the photos and decide for yourself how much they missed during this particular PDI. If this is the level of service you’re happy with, then go ahead and use RV Leaders. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Purchased a camper from them a month or so back. And by reading other reviews I am not the only one with issues. Salesman was fine had everything lined up per my salesman and called to confirm pickup they had no idea what I was talking about them called back and said we can not do the one day me and the salesman agreed to, but they could do that Saturday. Told me it would be cleaned and prepped and gone over ready for me to pick up. They called the evening before and informed me that there was an issue with the slide out seal and would not be ready for another week or so, but everything would be fixed cleaned and prepped for me upon pickup. I went there a few days before to do a final walkthrough only to find my camper was parked down the street on basically a turn around or the side of the road just sitting there. Could not do a walkthrough because of the slide outs. Day of pick-up I arrive did a walkthrough the door to the bunk room was still damaged they assured me it would be fixed and they had ordered a new one. Got the camper home went to set it up the self leveling unit does not work there is saw dust and dirt all through the camper fiberglass dust all on the walls the sink has pits in it which I will assume they were aware of because you can see visible scratches from someone trying to fix it. My kitchen water lines leak, the toilet leaks periodically and during a heavy rain the one window leaks. I have contacted my salesman and he advised me to call the manager. I called and left a voicemail last Thursday and called again yesterday and left another message and still no return calls. Today is Wednesday the following week. And the gentleman I talked to yesterday just said sorry he's just really busy. Glad a purchased a camper with an MSRP of around $100,000.00 to have poor customer service.

I was in the market for a camper. I had been looking and researching for approximately 6 months. When other Camper Sales Companies either did not answer emails/texts or did not have inventory, RV Leaders quickly responded to my inquiries. I was shopping for a small popup but then saw the nuCamper T@G XL 6-Wide. I had done extensive research and Google searches. Then I had made the choice. One final issue had to be resolved, I am 6 ft and 250lbs and needed to see if I would be comfortable(fit). Upon arriving for my appointment, I was immediately greeted by Alicia. She walked me out to the sales lot and showed me the camper. I climbed into the T@G and was surprised the amount of room inside and I was very comfortable. Very deceiving, due to fact the outside appears small. The camper style I was looking had all the bells and whistles, more than I had expected. All of expectations had been met. I immediately made up my mind. This is what I wanted to purchase. A little more than expected to pay. But looking at all the features, options and advantages.....it was a no brainer. Alicia was very polite and professional. The transaction was seamless thanks to Patty in the financial department. If you have any questions, the staff is quick with an answer. The whole staff are very friendly and all said "Hi!" with smiles on their faces. Atmosphere was relaxed and no high pressure sales. Like their website says....You will be treated like family! I am scheduled to pick up my new camper on May17th and I hope I can meet the owner and shake his hand and personally thank him for the incredible business he has. I wish them all the best in the future. If you need a personal recommendation, feel free to ask. THANK YOU!!!

Update; When I went to pick-up my new camper, they had to wire my tow vehicle for electric brakes. Had some complication with wiring and had to resort to a Bluetooth Controller. Brian gave it his all, even with a call to Ford. I was told they would have to order the part and I could return the next day to finish. Only problem was I had already taken a day off and did not want to take another. I found a Controller at local U-Haul and I ran out and it picked up. On my way back I called and I was told Technician was getting ready to clock out for the day. When I had returned to Dealer, a couple of minutes later......Brian was waiting for me in the lot! He decided to stay to make sure I could take my new Camper home that evening. He jumped right on it and before you knew it I was driving off the lot, one Happy Camper! I do not want to forget to thank my salesperson, Alicia. She put up with my goofey stories and personality. She took time to see how I was doing while waiting for the work to be completed. She would run up to shop to see progress. Alicia even stayed a little while after her shift ended to ensure everything was taken care of. In life, things go wrong, noone is to blame, it just is what it is. In my opinion, these employees went above and beyond! Alicia and Brian had stepped up to make sure I was happy, even though it took a little time out of their personal lives. Robert Himler, please do some type of public recognition for these two outstanding employees. I am so happy I found your...

Can you give negative stars? I generally do not leave reviews, especially negative ones but this is the FOURTH negative experience with them.

First issue: The camper was advertised online on their website for $18,995. As soon as I showed interest in it they told me someone else had purchased it and it was removed from their website. They called me the next day to tell me the deal fell thru and it was available. They offered me a sales price of $22, 995 and I pulled up the ad on RV Trader and they "honored" the previous price to make the deal, with some cheesy "you're killing me on this" sales tactics. This was the first red flag and I should have walked away, but I didn't because I had fallen in love with the RV. So now we go to make the deal and we are offered the extended warranty and extended roof warranty. I was told the roof warranty covered everything with no exceptions, but we had to take the extended warranty to get the roof warranty. We signed up for them both at a cost of almost $5,000.

Second issue: At the time we were taking our new camper home the mechanic did a walk thru with us. He did not show us how to winterize or work any systems like we expected. He barely showed us where the water and electric hook-ups were. We asked many questions and he seemed to be annoyed with us like we were wasting his time. I found a button missing and he said they would mail it to us. I made sure to write it on the inspection sheet prior to signing and I still have yet to receive the button.

Third issue: First time we go to flush the black tank the water comes into the camper! My mechanically inclined husband found the leaking valve but did not know how to access it easily. I call to see when they can get us in for a warranty issue and they tell me they do not work on black tanks and I need to call someone else. My husband called back and they apologized that they misunderstood me and told him to bring the camper up. The "mechanic" argued with my husband on where the leak was coming from. My husband showed him the leak and then the mechanic changed the valve out. The valve still leaked and they told my husband that they had to order it. They never called us that the valve was in so I called. They had no record of us being there and had to look into it. We voted to not go back and replace the valve ourselves.

Fourth issue: My husband was working on preventative maintenance on our camper while off work this week and finds a cut in our roof. I called the warranty company to see what to do and they told me the manufacturer's warranty should cover it, but if not call them back to see if it would be covered. (Remember the roof warranty covers everything) They told me I had to take it to a dealer. My husband and I discussed where to go and we chose NOT to go to RV Leaders after feeling they were incompetent so we went to another dealer. Low and behold the incompetence at RV Leaders continues to haunt us. We have owned our RV for about 7 months and the roof needs to be sealed since the seams are starting to crack. The dealer said RV Leaders should have sealed the roof prior to us taking possession, but they did not. Now I have to pay $500 out of pocket to do something they should have ...
