I'm not going to be patronizing this Dairy Queen location anymore. It's been dodgy for years but last night was an interesting experience of customer service to say the least. We sat in line in the drive thru for 25 minutes before being able to order, that's fine they were busy. What was not fine was the attitude we received from the cashier and the 'manager' on duty. From our perspective, the employees on shift were nose to nose screaming at each other. A few minutes go by and I tapped on the window to get the cashiers attention and was given my total in a tone that that said to me "why are you here?" The card is run through the system with the cashier immediately resuming to speak loudly/yell at the same coworker and another 2 minutes goes by and we were genuinely concerned and have not been given our card back so my friend got out of the car to see what was going on. 2 other employees showed up as well as the shift manager who all shouted at him to get back in the car, a conversation was had regarding the state of the store and what had transpired. Our food had been siting on the counter for several minutes at this point after which my friend was back in the car. The manager threw the window open three me a receipt stating she was refusing service and that we were refunded. The store operator was contacted today concerning the situation and the conversation was irrelevant due to the owner stating she was above Dairy Queen standards and referred to my friend as a 'big scary man' and in my book that is the exact opposite way to address a complaint. Just go to coldstone, it's...

My fiancé and I went there for dinner yesterday after the gym. Wanted to treat ourselves after pushing ourselves hard. My fiancé is lactose intolerant. She got her dairy free dilly bars, and we both ordered food and I ordered a blizzard. My fiancé ordered a salad with no cheese and honey mustard. She didn’t get her dressing. I got the new Parmesan garlic chicken strip basket. By the time they got our order ready our food was cold. Cold food I can handle a bit. But what really got me angry was when they were making my blizzard they were making fun of my lactose intolerant fiancé for ordering me a blizzard. I know it’s a bunch of high schoolers and college kids working there but come on, at least have some human decency to not laugh at someone for ordering some they can’t have when it’s for someone else. The service sucked, the bathroom floor was sticky. The food sucked. My strips were soaked in the sauce and. The sauce was inedible. It tasted like pure garlic. The only good things were my blizzard and my fiancés dilly bars. We will never be going back...
Read moreSo I got dq, then decided to take my kids to McDonald's to play and eat. My daughter accidentally spilled the tray, and my entire banana split blizzard (a small) spilled out onto the floor. I am poor as it is, and it's expensive out there. So I decided to call and ask if after we left, if I could come get another one. She got attitude and said free of charge? I said well yeah..she said yeah no after you leave the store we are not responsible. And I get that. But also...I've worked in food for many many years. I could see if I was someone who called all the time or something. But I am not like that, and I know anywhere I've worked in food we would of just given the customer another one as told them to c'mon in! It wouldn't of hurt dairy queen that much to make me one more , but it hurt my pockets and I didn't even get to eat it lol. It was an accident yes, but courtesy goes a long way... Next time whoever she was can be a...
