I have a small collection of older cabinets in my possession and just I couldn’t bear to discard my broken and malfunctioning arcade monitors without being absolutely sure they couldn’t be repaired. That’s when I came across Midwest Gaming Sales and Repair through recommendation (thanks Nickel City!)

I brought them my Centipede monitor that had and arching flyback (yikes!) and a K7000 used for a Namco motorcycle games that was only showing the game in a blue tint.

I figured I’d do everything I could to get them repaired or recycled. If all else failed I could always “upgrade” to an LCD but I just couldn’t stand the thought of just tossing these tubes in the trash…

So I heard about Midwest Gaming/Arcade Monitor Repair and I thought; they’re local, they come recommended and they’ll know better than I if the monitors were salvageable. So, I packed up my car with arcade monitors and I drove out to Wood Dale…

I met with Sergei. He was the magician that was going to work magic on my electronics. He welcomed me and inspected my monitors. I explained the issues I was having with some video documentation of the Tesela-esque arching… he assured me that the screens where in good hands. Truth be told, if he couldn’t fix them I would donate them for parts.

About 10 days later I get the call. “They’re fixed! Come get them!” I was shocked! I could not believe what I was hearing. What I once thought would be garbage was now going to replace the expensive LCD alternative I had put into my machine!

And it.. was… GLORIOUS!

Don’t get me wrong, replace with LCDs if you have to, but nothing beats the warm glow of a CRT! It’s just being displayed how it was all those years ago; low res, scan lines, visible refresh rate… it was all part of the experience!

I will refer anyone in need of repair or recycling to my friends at Midwest Gaming. The art of the CRT will never be lost with dedicated craftsman and technicians like these folks. Please. Don’t toss it. Don’t “upgrade” it. Keep Sergei and him team in business! Keep these monitors alive!

They also have a great game room filled with pinball machines for sale! (I hope to be able to purchase one of them eventually) So make sure you go and see them. If you’re reading this, you have an affinity for these machines and you will not be disappointed with their service or their...

It was time, I felt the call of a new pin. The problem was I had limited space. I made the tough decision that I would sell my machine to make room for the beautiful Tyrant’s Eye. I was dreading the whole process of trying to find a buyer and then coordinating all the other steps of a sale. I called Midwest Gaming and talked to Neil about my current game. He asked for a few pictures and shortly after gave me a simple and very fair quote to swap the pins.

I had the new pin delivered and set up. The delivery team were friendly and professional. They took great care in protecting my flooring during the swap out.

Midwest really made the whole exchange as stress-free as it could be, which I greatly appreciate. Without a doubt – I will work with them again when the time comes for...

I was looking to purchase a Jaws Premium pinball machine from my local dealer. Unfortunately they did not have any in stock and could not tell me when Stern would start production back up. I saw that Midwest Gaming had it in stock and free shipping. Seemed too good to be true. This is the first purchase I have ever made over the internet for something that big, so I was a little nervous. Neil was extremely knowledgeable, in fact I spent more time talking with him on the phone about pins than I have in person with my local dealer. Neil was a true pleasure to deal with. Excellent communication, fast shipping and it was just an all around excellent experience. They have earned my business for my next pin and I would highly recommend them for...

I recently bought a Godzilla 70th from Neil at Midwest Gaming. I actually didn't plan on buying it yet, but Stern decided to retire the game only what seemed like a few months after it began shipping. I gave Neil a call, and he took his time to answer any questions I had. He had the game in stock, so I made the purchase on his site while we were still on the phone. Once my payment went through, the game was shipped the very next morning. After a couple of weeks, Neil followed up to confirm everything is good. Absolutely no regrets purchasing, and I will definitely reach out to Neil when I decide what the next game will be.
