Agree with the other comments about the bad dumpster smell outside. One of my kids literally plugged their nose. So inside we went. There are fans now. Disappointed they didn’t have a high chair. I realize not many babies probably come in but there was actually another one there while we were there so… I’m not from Illinois, so maybe the prices are average but I had a bit of sticker shock. Most of their 4 oz pours are $4! So a flight was $15….in other words I paid $15 for a pint amount of standard beer (nothing heavy or fancy). Also the prices on the website menu are not accurate so that was a disappointment. Also very surprised to see a credit card fee when I spent so much. Again, maybe that’s normal around Chicago? Food was good. We got the chicken pesto and BLT club. Both very good. Also got a BBQ chicken pizza, which was good. They were out of both potato salad AND chili at 5 on a Saturday so we had to get kettle chips with our sandwiches. Thought they’d be homemade at least but def were not. $15 for a 6-8 inch sandwich and a handful of chips from a bag felt steep. Overall had a bit of buyers remorse as we left. Not a great location. Decent food but overpriced. Wish we went to my husbands suggested restaurant (I’ll let him pick next time ha ha). I’ve been to breweries with bomb scratch made foods at a lower price point. Won’t be back on our next trip...
Read moreMy recent visit in June 2025 was very disappointing here. I had been here before a couple of years back and while it was basic it was in better shape than it is now.
They keep their dumpsters overfilled and leaking literally at the entrance of the brewery. You must walk by the dumpsters to get to the back lawn. They reeked so bad and the area was disgusting - completely unacceptable.
Inside it was stuffy and smelly as well- no air conditioning?
Outside on the lawn they have built pergolas but the picnic tables are plastic, wobbly, crooked, warped from the sun etc.
The beer is ok. The food is acceptable but I believe it to be pre-cooked and just put together in their kitchen.
Really it’s a shame. Perhaps if at least it was clean I would’ve had a better experience. In my opinion this place is a dump and I would recommend you find another place to spend your money. WolfDen Brewery has a great back yard and a similar set up but it’s always clean, doesn’t smell like dead animals in the dumpster and you don’t have to skip over nasty liquids from dumpsters either. Not worth your time and money.
I regret not taking photos.
Why 2 starts even? Because there is potential. This space can be a wonderful brewery- it’s spacious and they had live music inside so that’s one thing...
Read moreI’ve had the pleasure of watching this place grow from a small taproom to a full service brewery. They have beer of all styles from Pilsner to Imperial stout as well as wine barrel and bourbon barrel aged beers. They are super present in the community serving beers at local fests and on tap at local bars. The quality gets stronger every year they are open and now they have a full service kitchen serving pizzas, salads and other great food menu items. The pimento cheese dip and Bavarian pretzel are amazing. In addition to their brewery they opened hop garden in Hamilton lakes last summer and it’s a great spot to relax outdoors near a pond and enjoy a cold beer. My absolute favorite beer is Paint It Plaid. It’s a delicious scotch ale and you won’t find a better scotch ale anywhere else. They have events all the time at the brewery and are welcoming to all kinds of patrons. A great place that my family enjoys food, beer...
