Blue Springs is a beautiful natural sanctuary that offers a peaceful retreat into nature. The crystal-clear waters and lush surroundings make it a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling, and enjoying the great outdoors. The vibrant aquatic life and the serene ambiance create an unforgettable experience for visitors.
However, I do miss the diving platform and the boardwalk that used to lead to the river. These features added a unique charm and convenience to the park, and their absence is felt by long-time visitors. Despite these changes, Blue Springs remains a stunning and tranquil place to visit. The natural beauty and the opportunity to see manatees up close still make it a worthwhile destination.
Overall, while some elements of the park have changed, Blue Springs continues to be a beautiful spot to connect with nature and enjoy the water. It's a place where you can relax and appreciate the serene environment, even if it's a bit different from what it used to be.

My husband and I just went back after not visiting for a few years and were extremely disappointed. We paid the $6 vehicle fee, but ended up leaving after walking down to the springs and seeing what we can only describe as pure chaos. There were plastic barricades, barriers, and it was filled with a ton of people and kids. It felt more like a public swimming pool, rather than a spring. It did not feel like we were in nature. There were parties going on, people singing karaoke, and it just was not the vibe we were hoping for based on past experiences.
You are better off going down the road to Ginnie Springs and visiting one of the springs in that area which is what we did. It is worth the...

Love the spring with clear cold water but especially love that you can walk a few feet and have warmer water because of access to the river. Watching where the cold spring water flows and mixes with the River is a sight to see. Offers picnic tables, concrete pathway, easy parking, wooden stairs with a handrail, and is really clean and peaceful. I'd recommend going if...
