We were here today as part of our NCL shore excursion. It was AMAZING! All I have to say is…puppies!!!

We learned about the mushers, met the pups, and even saw the mom of 2 young pups. The waterfall is beautiful. The s’mores were tasty. And we found some things we had to bring home from the gift store.

We lucked out with Pete as our guide. Pete is a local in the area settling here many years ago and is a wealth of knowledge of everything related to Skagway and even Alaska. The musher we met (I cannot remember his name) was great to speak with as well. And great service with coffee/hot chocolate inside the shop.

I was there last year and I had the best time. The musher was friendly and informative. Explained the care and life these dogs experience. Then spending time with the puppies was FANTASTIC! I was tryjng to show a little girl how to hold the puppies but she was too afraid to get him properly so i was able to spend a great number of minutes just getting mt fill of puppies and puppy breath. Muster was rude. Ride was too short. Total waste of our day. We were on princes cruise and I will be sure to share our experience with them. I’ve been to other dog led rides in Canada and we had a blast. Got to feed dogs etc.
