The Marketplace — Local services in Albemarle

I’ve probably made my last visit and purchase today at The Marketplace in Albemarle.  I went there and purchased over $80.00 for some cemetery flowers for my parents’ grave.  I know I’ve got nothing to support me except my opinion; and everybody’s got one.  The punch card reads something like, for every $25.00 or more in purchases, they’ll punch your card once, and when the card is full, you get a measly $10.00 off you next purchase; and only one punch per visit.  Spending tripled the $25.00 amount, I felt that I might be entitled to an additional 2 or 3 punches; but was emphatically denied by a very “unfriendly and gleefully” employee, who seemed pleased at denying my request.  I even offered to leave the store and come back in to make the second purchase; however, the employee was overwhelming please to deny me.  You’d think the measly $10.00 was coming out of her pay.

To the management of this establishment, please reconsider revising your store policy and give the overtaxed people of today’s federal White House administration just a little break.  You might even get more repeat business; although, I think I’m done...

I have shopped at The Marketplace for several years now, and I’m there often. I can spend all afternoon taking in each booth, and finding hidden treasures. I don’t always take something home with me, but I’ve learned that if I see something I really really like, I better buy it then because chances are it won’t be there on the next visit. I love seeing the many trinkets and treasures of yesteryear and remembering if how any of them played into my childhood. You are always welcomed by the friendly staff and of course they’re all eager to help in any way. An added bonus Christy has thrown into this place are the paint classes. We participated in a recent barn quilt class and had so much fun. Three hours passed in like 30 minutes, as we were having so much fun! Go spend an afternoon at The Marketplace… you won’t be...

So me and my dad and son were walking through this place the smorning and we get asked to leave because we're known to steel else wear I find it bothering sum being accused of things were not my dad is almost 80 yrs old and they wouldn't allow my father to purchase anything.i hope this place gets shut down there rude as all get out and really shouldn't be accusing or making accusations towards people unless they can back it up this way way ridiculous .but it's all good it's funny I've never stolen anything around stanly county ever.so yeah lady wrong on this one think again .u all are rude as all get out and very judgemental to people u don't even know .u will get what's coming to u on judgement day that's a promise for wrongfully accusing and making wrongfully accusations towards people u don't know...
