Seems like every time I buy meat from here it’s rotten. Just bought these pork chops 2 days ago and there all moldy and smell like rotten meat. Horrible place to shop for meat and probably make a lot of people sick. Just saying, if you ate Jim and Charlie’s meat yesterday and you feel like crap today, it’s most likely food poisoning

J&C is a nice little store. They have some wonderful employees who are genuinely nice people and the owners are great and very hands on, often in the store. You can usually tell how much the higher ups put into their businesses by how the people who work there act, if they are happy or stressed e.t.c. it's usually an indication of what kind of people they are and Jim and Charlie aregenuinely good people.

J&C do a lot of things for the community that they really wouldn't have to, like taking in cans and cashing checks, offering movies for rent and a lot more that really can't be much about profit but it earns them loyalty from many in the community. It's a great location for people who may not have transportation to get the the bigger stores further away. You can find some really good deals sandwiched between things that cost a little more than other places, all in all its it's a handy fun little place to visit. They make some pretty good deli foods and cut their own meats which you can get at a very reasonable price. It's one of my favorite places as far as shops go and I have a lot of respect for...

Great hometown small grocery with three own butcher shop that tops fairways any day of week . On top of highest grade meat you'll buy anywhere they have amazing sales so good I tend to spend over 100 dollars every time I buy meat . My only regret is I moved out of town . I usually stopped no less than 4 times a week for the daily managers specials . They also still take groceries out to your car , will do personal shopping, and for handicapped residents even deliver . A true throwback to the small town businesses that treats you as a valued customer with down home customer service , willing to treat you like a customer not a...

It's not very big, but it's a nice small town grocery store. Growing up in a small rural community I know just how important these places are to the town residents. I like to buy local if I have the option. I don't live in Albia, Ia. So I don't normally shop there. People were so nice. I have no problem going back and will continue to do so if...
