Albuquerque Water Gardens & Nursery — Local services in Albuquerque

I absolutely love this nursery. It's a local business which is always great to support but my favorite thing is the ppl who work there. Every single time I stop in everyone is always happy & welcoming. They are very knowledgeable & happy to help answer any questions no matter what u need. They go above & beyond to help & provide u with any info u may need on any plants or items they sell. The last time I went, a really nice man took the time to physically show me how to prune my roses/lilacs which he didn't have to do but did it anyways. I think one of the other things I absolutely love about this nursery is how beautiful it is & how well these workers actually take care of the plants they sell. I'd rather shop here (local) than go to Home Depot/Lowe's just because I know that shopping at a local nursery u will be getting plants that are actually well cared for & properly tended to unlike those other big chain stores that treat their live plants as disposable sale items, they don't care if the plants live or die because they'll get credited for them anyways VS local nurseries like this place who actually care about the quality of the plants they're selling. Overall I'd say that this place is one of the best local nurseries in the city & everytime I go it just makes me happy! Thank u Alb Water Gardens for all...

Update: the plant died even thought I followed all instructions, used plant food. The plant food and mosquito floats can be bought at a Home Depot or Lowes for much less. I’d gone in to check and see if they had lotus and was told the lotus weren't ready yet. So I returned after a few weeks and asked the price. I was told $79. for the dwarf and $99 for the regular size. I wasn't able to take it that day so I had to return. When I did I bought the miniature but when I looked at the written receipt the price for the dwarf lotus was listed as $129. I asked John about it and he said "Oh, we have to charge for the pot" and I said "$50 seems steep for a plastic pot" at which point he started helping other customers, ignoring me. I will not be returning to this establishment because of this exorbitant increase for a plastic pot and then being ignored. it’s unfortunate because i have been a good customer up...

Stopped here for the 1st time, and I would have to say I really like this place. They have a huge selection for all your planting and gardening needs. This place is really looks like a small nursery from the outside but when you step inside, it's big and beautiful. They have it beautidully organized and the settings that they have with pools of lily pads (which they sell..many varities) fish and algae (another thing they sell in varities) is so serene. Their man made pond with 2 huge white swans is the perfect backdrop for photos. The staff was friendly and helpful, even with this pandemic, they inquired if we needed help throughout our stroll.
