I didn't know this when I finally went here today after some years, but the 10rd loaded magazine limit is no more, and I've always thought it was still at 5 or less. Website doesn't reflect this. Thanks to the range safety officers and 30 minute timed ceasefires, this range is pretty safe. Definitely much better than the local indoor ranges that require you to pay a $300+ membership in order to shoot rifle calibers that don't even go to 100 yards. The shotgun area is also well managed.

I’ve been here years ago, and I just shot at the pistol range. I shot at the rifle range, and they dialed in my sights for me. Man! That’s a plus in my book. These guys go out of there way for you. On top of that this range is top notch. It kind of feels like the renton outdoor range. Maybe that’s why I like it so much. You just feel comfortable. Oh and it 10 minutes from where I live . Win Win.

I have been here a couple times. One at trap shooting range and the rifle range. Each time the employees were super nice and helpful for people who have never been. The trap shooting was unbelievable as I have only done it in the woods. It was so much fun I honestly was looking at buying more 12 ga guns right after. I highly recommend checking there ranges out.

This is by far the worst range I have EVER been to. Absolutely terrible. I Will never go again, even if I am paid to. Worst range experience in my life. The staff are highly confrontational and bigoted. They actually fight with you and will demean you while publicly yelling at you in standard bully fashion. Unbelievable to me the first time I went, they use to have "no mag in gun" rule first time I went many, many years ago. For real. I remember the staff constantly keeping an eye on me and the guests I brought, to ensure that we didn't insert any mags into our rifles. It was a total nightmare having to safety the rifle, turn the rifle sideways, lock the bolt back manually, feed a single round in thru the ejection port of an AR-15, then turn the rifle back, release the bolt, remove safety, and finally fire. EVERY SHOT. Especially since my fingers don't really fit into the ejection port on an AR-15 that well. Makes feeding the rounds into the chamber very hard and they sometimes drop down the mag well. I was actually told by staff that I couldn't even have my magazines out on the bench. If you expected to sight your firearm in, you have another think coming. Its not possible when you have to move the firearm ever time to load it. I have been there a total of 2 times, and both times scared me and made me never want to go back to that horrible and nightmarish place. The only reason I reluctantly went a second time, years later, was because a friend really, really wanted to go there and told me he would pay for my entry if I came. Interestingly, the second time, we were allowed to have mag in gun, but we were only allowed one center fire round in the mag and only 5 rim fire rounds in a .22. And the second time we went, the staff actually complained about the smell of the ammo my friend was shooting out of his Nagant revolver and kept pestering and bullying him to stop firing it so they didn't have to smell "that ammo" that "smells like burning tires". Pro tip, the ammo didn't smell any different from other Russian ammo from any other gun. They just decided that they didn't like him because they were older and he was younger, so they decided to pick on him the ENTIRE time we were there. Good job guys! Real adult. The staff needs to be publicly fired and the range closed. All of the staff is incredibly condescending and exhibit themselves in a very un-knowledgeable and unprofessional manner all while pretending to be LEO. They have an expensive entry fee, more than I have ever paid at any other range I have ever been to. I have run into some of their current staff outside of the range who tout their range to your face and lie through their teeth about their "safety" rules and their completely ridiculous "justification" for the rules while subtlety threatening me. Truly uneducated, unprofessional and arrogant staff. As with the horrible Issaquah Sportsmans Club (but not as bas as this range), there is a "no rapid fire" which is highly liberally defined. At least in terms of how they stretch what any other reasonable person would consider rapid fire. Be ready to put 7+ seconds between your rimfire shots. Or the bigots will come bully you. Even more ridiculously, you must fire from seated position ONLY. There is no true practice here. Only getting to hear a gun go "bang" every now again. Thats about all you get. The staff are really uncomfortable to be around. Like, they seriously make you nervous to be around. Its actually creepy. They treat everyone like they are children and are doing something illegal. They all act highly officious and all pretend to be police officers. The "only five rounds in a rimfire" rule is also something I have never seen at ANY other range, ever. It makes your 10+ round pistols annoying to shoot, and your 22+ round rifles completely un-desireable to shoot. They just hire, train and indoctrinate highly arrogant and bigoted staff. This is a completely honest review about ACTUAL experiences I...

Warning from a former member. Beware of bullies and some of the most unprofessional abuse of authority. There are much better facilities for less money. Places much better for families, genders and ethnicities. People put into positions of authority and are abuse of, are the worst kind of people for any organization or the planet. Make sure you know what you are in for before joining this club . There are hundreds of dollars in fees and a six month probation period. Until you can fully use the facility. You can not use the members range until you jump through those hoops and more. Even if the public rage is full and members is next to empty and there's a two hour wait. I never had an issue with the safety rules that others might otherwise find too strict. I welcomed them. I was a roll model member who obayed the safety rules and was friendly, helpful at times donating targets and ammunition to others. During my membership I did witness some safety violations go uncorrected and even noticed a double standard. I also over heard some disturbing inappropriate conversations. The day that i quit my membership was going so /so I don't know why I was given the evil eye from the start. I was obaying the rules. Being safe and making sure my brass wasn't flying in the direction of others and cleaning up after myself. The last set of the day I had stuck some shoot and see dots a little too far to the side of the target. I took a couple of steps away from the target and thought oh shoot those are in the wood frame realizing that I was the last one returning and that everyone is waiting on me. I thought to myself oh well I just won't shoot at them. While I was returning to the bench I could over hear Range Master Jack going into a rant about what I had just don. With other people on the range. When I returned he started yelling at me so loud the noise cancelation in ear protection cut the mic off. You would of though that I had muzzle swept some one the way he was going off . I was never given a chance to explain. I just kept getting humiliation and screamed at . He went on to say that bullets going thru the 1/2" wood can come out side ways and leave the property maybe even hit one of us. Wow, really. Sounds to me like everyone is in danger, hazardous environment. I had difficulty shooting after that I felt very uncomfortable and was having difficulty breathing and I was shaking. Once I finish I packed up my gear and seen there was ten minutes left till ceasefire I, took my stuff to my truck. Returning to get my target. I was confronted by him again. Water under the bridge, (I thought) right . Not! He was starting to go off again. " well (aggressively ) you know ". That's when I said stop., called him a bully . He then puffed up his chest stud up as tall as he could and had the nerve to say what are you talking about. I proceeded to call him out on everything from taking about me behind my back to his over reaction over a non safety issues. Like most bullies when someone stands up to them, he too seemed to shrivel and (like a spin less jelly fish ) melt away head hung low. Only to not look me in the eye turn his back and say I apologize. Fake. I decided I'm done with this place and dropped my membership badge off at the bench. People that abuse there authority. We read about them in paper and we see them on the news. (Bad law enforcement that, beat and harm politicians that cheat steal and rob, Teachers & priest that do the unmanageable ) Bullies are bad. The old saying, just takes one apple. To me the Kenmore Range is a nasty fli & magit infested rotten barrel of apples. You couldn't pay...

Expert shooter and veteran of countless ranges and courses across the US, but a first-time visitor at WCW Kenmore.

Zero stars for the horrid Range "Safety" "Officer" I encountered on Range 2. Wow. This older/taller man in eye-glasses was a completely offensive clown to me in front of other grown men on the line, raising his voice to a yell and whining... and for doing what? ...placing my case on the ground right next to the tiny shooting table because the table was too small to accommodate my rifle case in the open position (just to take out my rifle that was indeed pointed downrange inside the case, which was part of his first tantrum).

When I told him the table was too small, he lost his marbles and started to ridicule me and told me if I "did anything else" he would kick me off the range. This tantrum was AFTER I had completely set up the rifle on the table, so he could have stopped me anytime to guide me through the "correct" way, if he wanted to. You could see that everyone around me was embarrassed and uncomfortable, but I stayed compliant the entire time, because I know the stress/mechanics that can be associated with dealing with the lowest common denominator at a public range. However, when I mentioned the small area of the table, I guess he got triggered from this "back talk." I was very careful setting up and doing nothing unsafe, as I have at all other public ranges, so this was a shock.

Because I paid their unusually high $27 fee and had friends there, I decided to stay until I accomplished what I needed (zero-ing), and then I left. During one of the frequent painfully-long pauses for target changes, he told the guys around me that "he woke up in a bad mood." Wow. This cat should never be around customers, ever, as he is at best a loose canon, a dirt-poor representative of that range, and a danger to the 2A movement.

The range was actually well-maintained compared to Renton (but not Whidbey), but if they were so uptight about their "rules," why do they make you write-in on a piece of paper kindergarten style that 30 rounds are permitted in a magazine, but then you are to sign a waiver saying you will only load mags to 10 rounds max?

As for the rhythm of operations... No BS, it took exactly 100 minutes to shoot a total of 9 rounds on a bolt gun, and 9 rounds from an AR, before packing up.

Due to their notoriously childish transport/unpacking/handing rules, their crazy rule about minimum 2 seconds between shots, and of course fabled stories about their power-tripping fools like this one, I sadly have to recommend...
