Dollar General — Local services in Aledo

I have been here so many times and it’s always the same, the employees are so unpleasant. I feel like this store hired people who are the complete opposite of a people person. Please know it isn’t just one employee it’s every single one of them. They are never at the register and when you ring that bell they are so put out, they’ve made noises before like “ughhh” or even told me “you can use self checkout” then the look they give me when I say I need cigarettes and then the “ughhh” noise again. This store is dirty and gloomy. I wish I never had to shop here ever again but it’s the closest store to my house with the worst employees I’ve ever experienced. If I could give this store minus five stars I would. Whoever does the hiring at this store please hire happy people. I could see if someone is having a bad day but this is every time. I understand employees need to take breaks but I really wish the employees who smoke wouldn't stand in the doorway while they do it. I don't like walking through cigarette smoke when I walk in or having to smell it the entire time I am waiting in the checkout line. The produce at this location is discusting. I asked the cashier to have it removed from the shelves, we will see if its removed. The last 3 times I have come here, the employee with long grey hair was standing in the doorway smoking. Not everyone wants to smell that. I was a smoker for 13 years. If I wanted to breathe it in or smell like smoke I would still be doing it. Please have them smoke on the side of the building, in their car, or the back door by the truck...

About time. Long past overdue. Let's get some iceberg lettuce or some shredded lettuce here. The guac & the frozen pretzels are excellent. And they read my review and you can get shreds most days or a head of lettuce the others. If I could give 10 stars I would to knock out the idiot 1 star reviews.
