I buy almost all my meats here, and most of my seafood and locally produced milk and eggs, too. I save a lot of money shopping here, then I buy the rest at grocery stores. The also accept EBT.

Lake Country Meats is owned and operated by a local family. Meat prep practices there have been handed down generationally. I believe it's Chandler who's next in line to carry the traditions on. You'll see him there alongside his dad and mom doing exactly that.

This place never ever disappoints :) Butch and his amazing crew really have quite an Awesome shop and the quality is outstanding. Some of the best ribeye I have had in a long time. The prices are very reasonable. They are one of those shops that obviously prioritizes quality of meat and also takes pride in what they do. You can see it in their steaks and when you take a bite. It is a bit of a drive for me to get there but this is my go-to shop for sure. The owners also go above and beyond for their customers and their employees too. They will make you feel like a rockstar even if you are not the most confident on the grill as the quality will carry you better. If you are confident in your cooking you will never want to buy a steak from a restaurant ever again.

Yesterday was our 1st experience at this facility. We aren't from the Alex area. However, we purchased an animal from a private farmer, and this is the butcher they used... so we did too out of convince. We couldn't be any happier with them! 5 STARS 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 ALL THE WAY AROUND! This is actually the nicest butchering plant I've been too and I've been to several. This is our new favorite place, and we are more than happy to make the over hour drive to shop here. Our meat was packaged nicely, labeled and boxed well, and the service was AMAZING! The store is also a sight to see and has so much to offer to the public.

We worked closing with Dylan throughout our experience of ordering and picking up. He seems to be a bright young man and knows what he's talking about. He also brought all the boxes out and assisted my husband in loading everything without us having to ask....
