Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County MN — Local services in Alexandria

Donated a couple of times and bought many items over years. The staff seems to treat the donations as if they're a pawn shop ie "We can't sell that," or "Those don't sell well". I have to take time out of my day to drive an hour to donate and then they act as if I'm donating actual trash. An example is when i brought a sleeper sofa (website at the time stated accepted if newer than 10 years) guy didnt even check just blanket statement of "We don't accept sleeper sofa". Had to pay $25 to landfill to dispose of it instead. Not sure if it's just this restore or if this is a systemic problem. Either way I will not be returning to this store to purchase or...
