Bomgaars — Local services in Algona

This Bomgaars had decent prices but the move to the old Kmart store has made shopping there expensive. While they increased their selection of merchandise, it seems like it was in only certain areas AND it came with a hefty price increase. No thank you. It may be helpful for some, but for us the high prices on feed and other supplies PLUS the continual poor service has made us shop elsewhere. They are often out of stock on items we go in for every week. Wish they would become competitive again and hire some decent staff. There were 2 really good guys who were always helpful but if they are not working all you get is the "just here for the paycheck" crowd....

This is a new location for this store, now located in the former Kmart building . This has more than doubled their square footage. The selections available in whatever department your shopping in is incredible. I was there too get new skip on rubber boots and had over 30 different ones to choose from. The farming,tools,and automotive sections are remarkably larger. With items to fit almost every budget makes it a store for everybody. Prices are great,staff are very friendly and helpful. Shopping in the store is great. We spend quite a bit of time and money there for house projects, our animals and business. Most staff are friendly and the store is clean and organized. They need to do a way better job of answering phones. If they are too busy to answer phones they need a staff member dedicated to that. Applying and interviewing there was a total nightmare.
