Mohawk Superette — Local services in Allouez Township

Best pasty in the UP, hands down. When it comes to pasties, the crust is the most important part and the Mohawk Superette has the perfect crust. Don't forget the Heinz ketchup which is sold at the counter next to the pasties in case you're on the go. Be aware that pasties are only sold fresh on Tuesdays and Sundays but if you're lucky, you might find a couple in the freezer. Another great choice in case you show up on the wrong day and can't get a pasty is the footlong deli sub. Loaded with meat and cheese, add whatever toppings you like. I use to live in Mohawk and go searching for dinner most nights (hated cooking haha). Years later, I still come here when we want a night (or morning) off from cooking, even though we live a half hour away.

Love their selection of specials. Most recently, tried a jalapeno breakfast pasty and it was incredible. As are their regular pasties. They sell out every year at the Ahmeek 4th of July party

Best stop to stock up on some lunch for a Keweenaw cruise, dinner after a night out, or some breakfast without dishes.

This is such a gem in the heart of the Keweenaw. The store offers a variety of groceries, convenience items and one of the best deli's I've ever gotten a sandwich from. They have a good pasty and I'm partial to the breakfast pasty they have on Friday mornings. They sell out fast so it's worth getting there early. Plus, gotta have an honorable mention for the meatloaf too. It's got that granny made it flavor. The owner and staff are great folks and so welcoming you feel like you leave with new friends.
