Vinckier Foods — Local services in Almont Township

I have been shopping here for about 5 years. First, they have a good and well maintained meat department. The meats are of good quality. I also like that they have an ACE hardware as they often have what I need. Unfortunately this Ace doesn’t honor the Ace rewards card and I was told they didn’t plan on becoming part of that program. I really don’t care for their produce and would much rather pick those items up at most any other store. Their prices on most items are high though their sale items can provide some good deals.

I would normally stop the review here and give them 4 stars but they lose a star for their lack of commitment to supporting mask wearing during times of COVID. Many of their employees either don’t or improperly wear their masks and I have never heard them ask an unmasked visitor to wear a mask including during peak COVID times.

I like what I heard an employee at the Lapeer Meijer tell a customer who refused to wear a mask. The customer was told that if they didn’t want to or couldn’t wear a mask that the store would shop for their items and deliver it to them in their car but they were not allowed in the store without one. I wish all retail stores would adopt this attitude.

Talked to a manager named “Hannah” bought a 1.5 quart ice cream that was melted and freezer burnt on top . She said I need my receipt to RETURN it ( during covid I guess they will resell it ) we just got it a hour ago. And I’m not sure were my receipt is . Your already priced higher than other stores you would think they would replace/refund a bad item . So you have to check ice cream before you buy it there . I recommend Kroger down the road

We ordered Fried Chicken and Baked for my Mother's funeral luncheon. The Best Chicken Ever. We froze the leftovers and just over a month later, I heated the Chicken in my air fryer,; oh boy just as good as first day. My family also, loves their Chicken Pot Pies as well; stuffed to the max and always just the right amount of gravy inside. They also, have this giant sub sandwich the guys go crazy over and the potato and coleslaw yummy. Thank you so much for great service with a smile.. and having Ace next door is great for one stop shopping...
