I scheduled our trip on line after reading about each tour. I made reservations for the Bourbon and Brew tour. It states that it begins at 12:00 and goes for 7 hours. Our driver personally contacted me and said that she would pick us up at 11:00 at our hotel. She arrived at 10:50, in her personal vehicle. We had an excellent driver, she was very personable but not well educated in the area of bourbon or brews. We did visit 3 of the breweries mentioned on the website. The first one was not good, it was the only bourbon tasted. It looked like they werenât even open when we arrived. The people were nice but the bourbon was only mediocre at best. We left after being there a short time and not even finishing what was offer. One was a gin, the second a moonshine and the third was bourbon. This was a brewery but we couldnât see anything. The second stop was nice. The place was busy and the staff spent time with us, explaining and sharing several different types of meads with us. Of the three stops it was our favorite. This stop was not a brewery but more like an events place. While there we decided to each lunch, which our driver had picked up earlier in the day, before she picked us up and was carrying around in a cooler. The third stop was beer. The server selected 5 rates for the two of us. We enjoyed a couple of these. Our tour ended by 3:00, so we were gone for 4 hours at the most. All of these were within a few miles of our hotel and we could have had just as good a time by driving to these as we didnât get anything exceptional with the tour. I feel that the money we spent was over 50% too much. As I stated we enjoyed our driver and did tip her since we felt sure that the majority of the fee went to...
Read moreI used Elite Excursions for my wedding this September and they were INCREDIBLE! (We got two 14-passenger shuttles to transport, me, my husband, and our wedding party to and from downtown Dahlonega and our wedding venue in Cleveland.) I spoke with several other transportation companies before finding Elite online, and all the others were either overpriced, not responsive, or rude. Elite emailed me back immediately and was amazing to work with from my first call with them to when they dropped me off after the wedding. Our venue had some pretty strict transportation requirements due to its remote location, so I spoke with the owners, Don and Donja, several times before and after we booked them. They were always extremely patient and took the time to come up with the best solution at an affordable price. Don was my driver the day of the wedding and he was just as kind in person! He showed up early, had such a calming presence, and patiently waited on me and my bridal party when we were running behind (due to a power outage). He also did pretty much all of the heavy lifting when it came to loading and unloading the shuttle (thanks Don!). If you're getting married in North Georgia and are looking for wedding transportation, I seriously cannot recommend Elite...
Read moreClay picked us up right on time. We were surprised to find that we were the only ones on the tour that day but we were there during the slow time. We visited 3 wineries. The first was The Cottage, one of our favorites, where we enjoyed a fabulous tasting and ate our delicious lunched provided by Elite. Our second winery was Limoges. This was a new winery so it was a first visit for us. The wine was more of a French style. The sparkling wine was delicious. Finally we hit Serinity Cellars, probably my all time favorite winery in the area. A fantastic tasting. We enjoyed some glasses and a fabulous charcuterie plate. Clay let us stay as long as we wanted. We came home with several bottles of wine. Overall the tour was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be going with Elite for...
