Rule 9 TCG — Local services in Altus

Brought some cards in and the gentlemen who owned the place is a nice guy I suppose but has absolutely no idea how to find the value of a sports card. He shows me some website of some guy who rates sports cards as his difinitive guide. Tells me that a wander franco autographed #7/10 graded rookie card is worth between $1.60-$6.00. I looked really confused at him and he says its the color of that number. He then told me that an entire stack with orange mosaic Mahomes, Tua, Lamar Jackson, Silver mosaic Fields, Durant Blue Reactive numbered and a myriad of 40 other cards were worth $65.00 telling me a Marino Autograph wasnt real and then tells me he found it and its worth $10.00. The thing is I feel bad for him because when I tried to explain Ebay sold listings he said that he doesnt care about how much pay for items. His guy knows all. I wonder how much value he has allowed to walk right out his door because some guy new all. Avoid this place unless you're buying pokemon cards or yugioh. If that is the case the 5* for sure. But seeing as how I was asked to bring my sportrs cards in and that was my experience. They are all super nice. But have no idea what they are doing. Stubborn to the point he wont learn anything new. I sold 2 cards for $40.00 offered him everything i had for $600.00 which included a graded Jordan and he turned in down. I had over $130 worth of cards, and they refused to pay at least $80 for them, so I just got another box, their only and cheapest set they had, and they said it would be the equivalent for what I’m offering to trade, I had the modern horizons 2 bundle from a store and opened it to reveal those cards I was offering and they said the prices were way off, I had a borderless cabal coffers, which was a mythic rare, it itself sold for at least $40 at max $60, and the guy said it was $4.
