Thought they were strict but good went several time in last 2 months BUT TODAY was horrible!! I had things seperated on the cart, he threw a bunch of my aluminum as metal I let him know that they were aluminum and he said the magnet stuck to it! He didnt use one, and then tells me I should separate better. Even if that's what you feel if Im telling you its NOT metal ANYWHERE ANYONE else would have checked! Nope he didnt! Went to get paid and the small amount I was given was horrific because he gave me prices i NEVER should have gotten the BD prices i was paid! Padnos Pere Marquette division of steel and other ferus metal receiving has been very good to deal with over the last 20 years!! They have been able to pay well and also donate in the community for all things that go on!! They also run a few other scrape yards in the state of Michigan!! Went there to buy a few pieces of scrap metal for a small project. I was RUDELY told that “We don’t sell to the public anymore.” When I asked why, I was told, “Well, that’s just our policy now.” That’s absolutely ridiculous. Scrap steel is sold to the public at a much higher rate than what they get for scrap steel. This is a small community, not a major metropolitan area.
