Dollar General — Local services in Amboy Township

Store is convenient to get a few items instead of driving 1 hour to a bigger store. Aisles are at times crowded with cages of merchandise that need to be put away. With only a few employees this happens, but they are all helpful and can tell you where an item is, or if they carry it. They don't control shipments and always leave their task when you ring the bell to be checked out. Wouldn't buy cold case items here, too high in sodium for me & in a small store, limited selection. It may work for others, which is fine. Not the store's fault-dietary restrictions prevent me from buying these items. Like the selection of paper goods; toilet paper, towels, table napkins + specialty paper plates, napkins + plastic ware! Good local store and great staff! Route 52 just north of Joe drive buy 1/4 Mile on the east side of the road is the Dollar General store for Amboy! There is plenty of parking handicap parking at the door. This store comes with everything just about, groceries, some clothing items household goods you could very easily spend two hours inside walking around. I can't believe how clean and organized this location is. I was there twice today for doordash and thankfully this great employee Amanda was there to help me find the items I needed. Every aisle is so clean and stocked. So many cute seasonal items well displayed. Definitely a perfect example as to how dollar general stores...
