Uncle B’s Bar And Grill — Restaurant in Amboy Township

Sunday is Smoked Wing Day & I stopped in to get some for the very first time. I ordered 6 plain wings & fries to go. I got exactly 6 pieces of chicken--3 drums and 3 wing pieces. I paid cash and had a wing when I got home; delicious!! Fries were hot and not really salty, which was fine with me! I put the rest in the refrigerator after I lined the Styrofoam container with paper towels to contain excess fat. I reheated the remaining wings and fries on a plate in the microwave on Monday evening; still delicious! Atmosphere in the bar was a little noisy for me, but I don't frequent bars since I don't drink alcohol. TV's we're on with sports and patrons were talking and laughing with each other at their tables as they drank and enjoyed their food. Everything was clean, neat and orderly! Bar was continually being wiped down & glasses washed. I got a few glances from some people, since I had my coat and earmuffs on: I was by the door & it was a cold day. I should have asked how many pieces constituted a wing; in the fry station of a grocery store where I once worked, a wing was the complete item, including the tip; at Uncle B's each piece is considered a wing. Big difference; but lesson learned. Food was great, price was about $2/ piece of chicken, so I'll have a better idea what to order again! Don't miss out-- these wings are wonderful; and they also have boneless wings too! I got the bone-in wings, since I prefer that type. Not a child friendly environment. (The person that recommended this to us knew we had 4 children in our party.) They only have a few high top tables & the bar. The chicken tenders were insanely salty and over cooked, we didn't eat them. (3 kids took 1 bite, said eww, and didn't eat them) The waitress said the coke was canned, but it was given to us in a cup & was watered down. The philly cheesesteak was extremely dry and over cooked, my husband poured a whole diping sauce container of Hot Honey on it to make it edible. The waitress took our order, brought out food, and then only brought us drinks after someone from our party went to the bar for a round of drink refills. And she didn't ask if we needed anything else. We are typically 20% minimum tippers, but not tonight. It's like the service industry doesn't feel like they need to actually work for tips anymore?? We were there 10 minutes and got terrible drinks and when we said something we were ignored for our food order and then the older bartender Simber ? started to take our order and became extremely dramatic and aggressive towards us. After giving her my order I didn’t feel comfortable staying there. She was extremely rude and personally attacking and I have never seen her before in my life. Our drinks in the plastic soda cups were 90% soda. I am still shocked that she didn’t just ask what was wrong with the drink instead of creating a huge scene that embarrassed us and caused us to pay full price for a sip of our drinks just to get...
