Update on rating: Today when I called for pricing, the guy (male) had a slight attitude in telling me the prices. Got to be consistent with providing good customer service at all times. Plus, the price here is 99¢ more than the Shrimp Shack. That's where we ended up going.
The (female) employees were nice and gave us a little extra pieces of shrimp. I can't believe the house has been the same (no renovation whatsoever) since I was a young girl and this was back more than 30 yrs. ago. The shack has also remained the same, but with better check out equipment. The line can vary daily. We went past the lunch hour on a Saturday and we only waited a minute or so. The next day (Sunday, 8/30/20) - there was a few people in front of us and waited close to 3 minutes.
The parking lot is not big; up to 6 cars (depending on size of vehicle). There's no marked parking for people with a disability. No public restroom, mask is required and only up to 3 people at a time inside the shack. Surprisingly, the shack doesn't have an overwhelming...
Read moreWe visited 2025.08.12 and bought three dozen oysters and 2 lb of shrimp. The shrimp were small but fine. However the oysters were subpar. They don't allow refunds so we ended up with nearly two dozen inedible oysters. They were really milky and most of them had almost no brine. My stepfather and I were reminiscing about why the old adage that says you don't eat oysters unless the month has an R in its name. The reason for this is because the oyster spawn during the summer and the flavor and texture is unpleasant. We're all hoping that we're right about that and not going to get sick. I feel like we should have been warned...

There were only 3 men working the day I went in; they were so kind to my family and I; so I definitely got the family-friendly vibe, while still very professional.
They keep everything neat, tidy, and clean. They have a great selection of seafood, along with dips, sauces, and soups to go with it.
It's small; it's local. They seem to be going strong so it's safe to say it's probably because of their good report, strong, healthy rapport they have within the community.
The only complaint I would have is buying the pounds of shrimp... Unless you eat shell and shrimp legs, you really don't get...
