My husband and I did a TON of research on wedding Photographers. We knew this was our most important vendor to book so we “interviewed” many. Amanda’s name kept coming up in all our searches and from friends who had worked with her before and highly recommended her. Based on her website alone, she met all our requirements. We had a preliminary in-person meeting where she answered every last one of my many questions. What sold us on Amanda was her honesty, flexibility, organization, personality and experience. Throughout the entire planning process leading up to our wedding she was 100% honest with us and not afraid to give her opinion on what she has seen work before. This is exactly what we needed as both of us were clueless on how to plan a wedding. She was so extremely helpful in planning our timeline, not leaving out any details. She brought up things we had never even considered, but she knew based on her prior wedding experience. We got married in the middle of the pandemic, so for awhile didn’t know if we would even have a wedding in 2020. Amanda was beyond flexible, assuring us she would be there for whatever we decided to do this year or the next. She was quick to respond to all texts, emails, and phone calls no matter the time of day. She promptly updated our timeline each time we had a change in plans or schedule or added something new. Her organization is exactly what I wanted and beyond in a photographer, and for that matter in any professional. Her detailed wedding questionnaire kept the day running smoothly, and we still get comments that the family photo taking was the most efficient work our guests had ever seen. She was early to arrive, and thanks to her diligence, was always ahead of schedule - which I’ve never seen happen in a wedding before! She was so fun to work with. When I began searching for a wedding photographer last fall, I had sent emails and inquiries to many companies, often not hearing back or being frequently ignored. To capture this quote requires the ability to pose people for photos as well as capture candid moments during the session.  To be able to adapt during a session for that second when your child doesn’t want to do what they are told.
