The Backyard Creamery & Mini Golf — Local services in Angola

My girlfriend and I love this place and everyone who works here! Doug has gone above and beyond for us every year that we come up. We drive 8.5 hours from PA for a WW2 car meet once a year, and get together 20 minutes from the Backyard Creamery. We love their vegan birthday cake ice cream so much! We first got it a few years ago. Every year we come up, Doug, his daughter, and his son-in-law purchase the vegan ice cream for us, even though they don’t ever sell any of it. It’s so unnecessary, and it also costs them a loss since we are the really the only ones who buy it. However, they deserve every penny, every customer, and every bit of love possible. We truly, truly appreciate what they do for us. Even if they didn’t supply that ice cream, we love the course, and we love supporting the family. It definitely shows what kind of people they are, and what kind of heart they have. Again, if you haven’t checked them out, go and eat some ice cream, and go play some mini golf. Drove a hour to get there with 2 small children that were very excited to play put put. Inside was clean and the staff was friendly. From the road it look like a very fun place, but once we paid for our games and went to play a worker said there are two courses one over here is pretty run-down but still playable and the other one is better but not as challenging. So we chose the better one, and at the end of our 1st hole we noticed the outside upkeep of the course and its surroundings are not being taken care of, we really had to watch the kids because of poison ivy and thorns. We finished our 18 holes with much caution. I gave it a 2-star rating because it could be a really nice place with some inexpensive...

I love that we could go putt putting when camping at Pokagon. The inside was clean and the staff were nice. The course needed some TLC though. The landscape needs trimming and several of the fountains were off so pond area was disgusting. The course is also strange because all of our balls bounce out of the hole. I think something is off with the cup and the green. But all of that it was fun and affordable to be out and play. I like that there are 2 courses so that people are...
