I highly recommend BYoung Physical Therapy in Apex, NC! I went in with a prescription from a shoulder rotator cuff surgery early in January 2025 for two torn tendons that were re-anchored and frozen shoulder. I was graduated (discharged) today, having progressed faster than expected.
The personalized approach at BYoung made all the difference. Their philosophy focuses on getting you back to high-performance activity, unlike other PT clinics that are only focusing on occupational therapy and minimizing visits for insurance.
Bri, my regular therapist who is also the clinic director took the time to understand my specific needs and developed a comprehensive treatment plan that included effective in-office manual therapy and targeted exercises for at home sessions between office visits. The exercises were challenging but effective, and I felt supported and encouraged throughout my journey. After 35 sessions over 5 months (the surgeon thought it would take 6 months), I'm able to do all my daily activities without pain and even pop-off several dozen chair height pushups.
The entire staff, from the front desk to the therapists, are incredibly knowledgeable, and caring. While shoulder therapy can be painful, I actually have looked forward to the visits, not only for healing, but great conversation with the staff, who feel like friends now.
I have recommended BYoung to several friends who go there, and my wife has recently started at one of their locations that specializes in runner's issues.
I can't thank the team at BYoung PT enough โ they truly gave me my life back! If you're looking for physical therapy that delivers results, you need to go...
ย ย ย Read moreBYoung was fantastic. I initially came in because whenever I would run my right shoulder near my neck would become very sore. I thought I had pulled/torn something in that area about 6 years ago and thought I may need to get surgery to fix the problem.
Brandon initially diagnosed me and told me on my first visit I was going to be just fine and with stretching they could get me 80% of the way there, if not more. I was so relieved and after just a few days of doing the stretches they prescribed to me my shoulder was feeling 100% better! As long as I did the stretches they asked me to do, the problem subsided. When I forgot to do the stretches, I typically had a day or two before the pain would come back if I ran both days.
After 3 visits, Jacob, who was my personal physical therapist at BYoung (after being diagnosed by Brandon), told me as long as I continue to do the stretches they asked me to do, I should be just fine and no more appointment with them were necessary. I am very thankful!
I thought Brandon, Jacob and the entire BYoung staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. I will certainly come back if I injure myself again. I would definitely recommend BYoung...
ย ย ย Read moreAt 55 years old, I had surgery to repair extensive rotator cuff tears. After completing the initial course of PT at the Surgeonโs clinic, I was directed to BYoung PT for further recovery PT by my Surgeonโs PA. Iโve been working with Rachel Donaldson for the last 8 months and I am pleased to say my recovery has far exceeded my expectations. Rachel has been outstanding in helping me regain range of motion and strength in my shoulder. The facility and staff are top notch, and they play great music! We met for an initial evaluation, started weekly sessions, where she gave me a series of homework stretches, then more stretches, then more stretches ๐. Eventually when my RoM had advanced sufficiently, we added exercises, then more exercises, then more exercisesโฆ you get the point. At the end we were 2-3 weeks between sessions with a good homework regimen in between visits. Rachel was always on the lookout for things to help me specifically reach my recovery goals. That kind of personal attention is really nice to find these days. Iโm not a big rater and reviewer, but I definitely give 5 stars! If you live in the Apex area, I highly recommend Rachel at the BYoung PT...
