Louie's Bistro Catering — Local services in Apopka

I booked Louis for my wedding 10/25/19. Everything was great until the wedding day. All the tastings were phenomenal and when you go to his house you feel like family. When i left his house after my final tasting and making my last payment i really thought i wouldn’t have anything to worry about and that’s why i was so shocked there were so many issues the day of the wedding. I had around 145 guests at my reception and a plated dinner. From the feedback i received cocktail hour was fantastic. But once dinner started for the reception is when the issues started. The main thing i had a problem with was the stuffed fish filet. For most of my guests including mine the filet had around 10-15 bones in it. Mine had so many bones i thought it was garnish. Service took way longer than i was hoping and it didn’t flow at all. Some guests were still waiting for their food while other guests had already finished their food and were waiting for the next thing on the agenda. I was told that a lot of his staff was brand new. One of the servers even said it was his first day. He knew all my guests order ahead of time because i provided him with a very detailed seating chart, but i was told that his servers were going from table to table taking orders, which obviously made service take longer. All in all the food over all was good, but definitely not the same quality that I paid for and experienced at his tastings. There were several other issues, i attempted to discuss with him prior to writing this review like bringing the salads out in large plastic bowls instead of on the salad plates (which he later corrected in the dinner), my day of event coordinator was even plating salads which i still don’t understand, the food not being hot, the portion sizes being “snack sized” as one of my guests said, and the meals we agreed on were not the meals being served, like some guests ordered the beef with mashed potatoes, but the beef was being served with rice. What can I say... ? It took me a while to write a review after our wedding. There are no words to describe our experience, Louie exceeded by far our expectations. For starters, he prepared our A la carte dinner for our wedding reception with only one week notice during Christamas week!! The professionalism and etiquette of Louie and his staff was way above average, he gave me a one stop and included everything i needed in just one very competitive price, ( plates, silver ware, servers, wedding cake cut and serve, champagne bottles open and serve, etc. ) Louie is very easy to talk to and helps you understand your options with ease. A tasting wasnt even neccessary because the food tasted as good as it looks in the pictures. Every attendant asked me where did I find Louie, dinner was up par with any fine dining restaurant. If you are planning an event, take the guess work and chance out of the way, Louie is for sure the best catering service with the best food out there, all prepared on the spot with his mobile kitchen. I love them! Will always be my 1st option for catering regardless of event. I booked Louie's for a 75-person event at Two Grooms Farm.

Louie was very creative and prepared an impressive menu to please a diverse crowd of people. He was so accommodating and just a pleasure to work with. Unlike other caterers, he's extremely flexible and did not try to gouge for variations and extras.

I had a special request to prepare 140 deviled eggs from our farm so that our guests can taste our fresh eggs. They were not just perfect, he also did not charge extra!

Louie arrived early with his team of four. They were all very friendly, very accommodating, organized and even offered to help serve our own hors d'oeuvres and help with our event. There's no catering team that will ever go so above and beyond.

Having the food served from the food truck was perfect! The food was always freshly plated and hot from the kitchen. The guests LOVED the idea and raved about the food. I am truly happy that I found Louie. Louie's Bistro Catering will be our first choice from now on!
