Mount Dora Trolley — Local services in Apopka

We rented the trolley for our wedding in March 2023 and had a great experience on the day of our wedding. Unfortunately, our experience with the co-owner Cindy since then has been awful. If you want a seamless wedding vendor experience with a company that uses modern business infrastructure (online contracts, online payment platform, reliable banks, etc.) this is not the vendor for you.

We mailed our final deposit in February 2023 and received confirmation from the co-owner Cindy that she received it. Fast forward nine months and we received a call from the Mount Dora Trolley informing us that there was an issue with the check. The first person we spoke to was their assistant and she didn’t tell us exactly what the issue was so we followed-up via email with Cindy for additional details. Cindy informed us the that the check was returned because their bank could not find our account and they were charged a $12 fee for the returned check that we needed to pay. After she sent this email she continued to harass us during the middle of the work day by calling us 3+ times.

We promptly spoke to our bank and they informed us the actual issue was with their bank. When their bank presented the check to our bank they presented it with the WRONG account number which is why our account couldn’t be found. Cindy sent us a text with a picture of our check and the document they received from their bank, and in that picture you could clearly see their bank used the WRONG account. We explained this to Cindy, and instead of apologizing for harassing us during the work day and covering the $12 fee she simply replied ‘thank you for the explanation.’ We then sent a certified check the following week and when we asked her to confirm that she received it she didn’t respond. I have never interacted with a business owner that is so unwilling to take any ownership for THEIR mistake and as a result would not recommend renting the trolley for any...
