Ordered once and half of the plants were infested and had to be quarantined and treated by me, several didn’t survive. After going back and forth with you I received a pitiful refund that definitely didn’t cover my loss but you made me feel as if it doesn’t happen often and I thought I’d give you another chance as I couldn’t find the plant I wanted for Christmas locally. I ended up getting my entire order frozen. Total mush. Every one gone. I called and was met with someone rudely requesting photos emailed. I sent photos and have been ignored ever since. When I try to call it goes straight to voicemail as if I’ve been blocked. You didn’t even try to package these plants safely. No protection. Soaking wet and just wrapped in a thin piece of paper and thrown in a box. Disgusting. All the money these people spend on these plants and you can’t do anything to protect them better. No because all you care about is the money. Now I’m being ignored. This ruined my Christmas and has me very upset. I gave you a second chance and here we are shame on you. If I am not contacted soon I will take further measures. You should be ashamed of how you do people. Especially around the holidays. I want a full refund. I will make sure everyone knows of my experiences. Buyers beware. These people dont care about their customers or the care of their plants do your research on their history. Someone needs to respond to...
Read moreThis is my very first purchase from Ecuagenera. I had purchased 2 Adelonema & 1 Spathiphyllum. I paid for USPS Priority Mail (.30 cents extra) because I’ve had nothing but issues with UPS. I was not emailed saying that the company had decided to mail it using UPS due to them having issues with USPS across the country with their deliveries. My package was supposed to be delivered 9/3 but wasn’t, and for some reason Ecuagenera doesn’t pay for Saturday delivery with UPS. My package was then again delayed until this past Tuesday 9/7 due to the holiday. I had called Ecuagenera immediately after I got the delivery on 9/7 because the 2 Adelonema have a nutrient deficiency. (See pictures) If I had seen these in person, I would have not paid for them. I can completely understand the plants have a few yellow leaves, but the whole plants are completely yellow. The woman I spoke to couldn’t tell me exactly why Ecuagenera doesn’t pay for Saturday delivery especially when they chose UPS instead of the shipping I had chosen. She mentioned sending replacements after having me send her the same pictures I’m posting with this review, but I have not received an email, text, or phone call. They haven’t even read/answered my Facebook messages. They only respond to phone calls. Please, if you order from Ecuagenera,...
Read moreI’m reviewing the in-person shopping experience specifically. Shipping and importing plants is a whole different matter that I’ve never experienced so I won’t speak on it.
I’ve bought 6 plants from ecuagenera and for the most part they’ve done really well. The selection of harder to find and obscure aroids is really cool and worth seeing in person. There are two things you should know before going, though.
In march of 2023 I brought spider mites with my plants. It’s been several months and they’re almost gone but not totally eradicated. INSPECT CLOSELY and do a quarantine when you bring home plants just to be safe. On the second visit, I was able to see visible webbing on some larger plants, so there are visual signs. Just watch out.
The potting mix ecuagenera uses seems to be pretty degraded in some of the plants I’ve bought, and a couple times the plants were very rootbound. I had some issues with root rot after ignoring this problem for too long. I would suggest repotting with fresh media when you get new plants from here.
Other than that, I have no complaints. They run online sales pretty often and it’s usually cheaper to buy online and pick up, but picking out what you want to take home is also...
