Stopped in hoping for some great chocolates and Carmel’s. It was my first time visiting the store. I did get that, but the old lady that waited on me was totally rude!! There were two other ladies in the store at the time and each had a child with them. I looked the candies over and decided on some. She put them on a tray as I was choosing. I told here that would be all. She said, I will box these up for you. I walked around the store and looked at other items. I then went to the counter to purchase my items. No one else as at the candy counter get there items picked, but this crabby old lady, wearing a headband with her hair all pushed back, comes to the counter and has the nerve to say, I just want you to know, that today we have three ladies working behind the counter, so it’s not bad today, BUT you do need to pick up your candy and take it to the counter! Just so you know it for next time!! Totally rude and uncalled for!! Box up the damn candy and set it in the counter if it is too much for you to step three steps to the checkout counter!! Good grief! I was about to spend over $40 and she could be that rude! They were NIT bust at this time! I just about told her, if it is too much for you, you can but your candy back and walked out!! You would think on these times and days she would be happy to have sales!! Guess I will never go...
Read moreIf Willy Wonka had a Midwestern cousin, he'd be working at Abdallah Candies Factory and Shop — and probably sneaking a few Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Caramels between shifts. Nestled like a caramel center in the heart of Minnesota, this fifth-generation family-owned treasure delivers more than sweets; it offers a masterclass in hospitality, craftsmanship, and pure joy.
From the moment I walked in, the scent of warm toffee and dipped dreams wrapped around me like a friendly hug. As sweet as the confections they offer — genuine, welcoming, and knowledgeable, eager to share the story behind each handmade delight.
My Favorites: Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Caramels: A perfect balance of silky and savory — proof that opposites attract. Milk Chocolate English Toffee: Classic, crunch-forward, and dangerously addictive. Cinnamon Churro Toffee: If autumn and a carnival got together and made candy. Butter Almond Toffee: Rich, nutty, and full of buttery bravado.
Frankly, everything I've tasted from Abdallah has been excellent. There's no weak link — just a parade of chocolates, gifts, and gourmet joy that feels tailored for repeat visits and full-hearted recommendations.
Whether you're a chocolate connoisseur or just craving a reason to smile, Abdallah delivers. Unwrap a piece, and you’ll quickly understand: this isn’t just candy, it’s heritage...
Read moreI ordered candy on December 5 to be delivered for Christmas. I was sent verification that the candy had been sent out on the 12th. Only because we asked, did the recipients confirm they never received their package. I contacted the company to find out the specifics of why the package was not delivered and the first phone call, after being put on hold for 10 minutes disconnected. The second phone call went to a persons voice mail and my call was never returned. The third conversation was a deep apology and a promise that the next package would be sent out immediately and a tracking number would be forwarded. Mind you, we are well into February at this point and after checking daily to no avail I recontacted the company again and was told the address is wrong and they would refund my money. The person on the other end of the phone behaved as if she was doing me a favor simply speaking with me at all! I own a company and routinely send items to clients and I’ve never had worse service in any of my endeavors in the past! I will never do business with this company and I would suggest you think carefully about the embarrassment that can ensue if the intend recipients do not receive a gift and are not comfortable enough to...
