Sammy's Mini Mart — Local services in Appleby

I haven’t felt well enough to go much of anywhere the last few years. But this afternoon. The only thing that has sound good to eat was a good hamburger . I haven’t been able to eat for about the last 3 weeks . But we went to Sammy’s and the burger was the best I have eaten in yrs and yrs . The staff were so nice ! I used to go to that store when Mr Burt was there and it was Meador’s groc. There have been several owners since then. But they either had very little merchandise and/or the staff were horrible ! I am SO GLAD that these owners are such sweet people! Also their live bait is half of what it is every where else . Lots and lots of fishing equipment. It’s just a really nice store . You will not be sorry that you stopped in and said hello ! Let’s show these people what a wonderful community Appleby is ! Maybe if we all show them enough love . Great staff, they are so friendly. I'm always greeted when I enter the store. It is very clean store. Restroom is very clean also. They also have some great looking leather purses for sale. And they are responsibly priced. If you happen to be going fishing, stop by they can hook you up with fishing supplies (artificial bait, line, hats, and all kinds of fishing tackle and gear). Also drinks, snacks and libations. Their bag ice is shaved/crushed. It's also the ice that's dispensed at the soda fountain. (Yum! This place always has the nicest people I've ever met working there, and they have the best edible ice 8lbs for 1.50 sure beats the other guys who sell theirs for 2.50. They also keep drinks by the 12 pack in the cooler and if you have a favorite just ask they will stock it in the cooler for you! I go out of my way to stop here sometimes and they have great prices on gas to so its easy to justify going north of town to get what I'm looking for, they also got great deals on live bait and they are just min...
