Simon's Supermarket Iga — Local services in Arbela Township

Simon's has been bought out and I will never go there again. 2 years ago I wrote a loving review on Simon's and their deli chicken. I have bought it there for years. I usually buy them 50 at a time. They have always let me substitute thighs and drumsticks for the wings. I called a couple weeks ago and they said that they would not do that any more. I called yesterday and mentioned to the manager that I could not substitute the wings and she cheerily said that it was no problem. I said that I wouldn't mind paying a couple bucks extra and she said she'd work it out. I bought 50 and after I was wrung up I saw on the receipt that I was charged $85. 50 pieces of chicken are normally $60. So I was charged $25 dollars to supposedly make up the difference between 12 wings with thighs and drumsticks. The manager wasn't there and they refused to give me a refund. As far as I'm concerned I was completely ripped off and I will never spend another cent there. I sent many customers their way and I will do my best to steer anyone I can away from them. P.S. Price and I were friends for many years and I can't imagine that he would condone such behavior. Despicable. I had to give a star to post this but...

It's a nice store, could use some more updating.

Update: 10-12-22 Had come in about the rewards for scanning in your receipt with the app. Somehow it had been redeemed by someone else when it should have only been mine. This and with the new change over, the service has gone down aside the cashiers. They are clearly doing thier best but without any real quality management.

Update: 12-20-22 Entered into the store again to see a manager berate an employee publicly. Very unprofessional behavior and bad public image. Prices have also increased dramatically among other quality issues. Seen many more outdated products, good staff leaving like rats on a sinking ship, and the hostile environment in general seems about as welcoming as an ice box. Gas prices there also have not been competitive and can easily be found in other places in both Millington and Birch Run itself at a better rate. Please fix these mistakes as I used to...

Nice Family Owned & Ran by a Pop & Mom Shop Place. I love the Country Living & Shopping Area Environment. Nice People Work here too. This little Country Grocery Store has things & Items that your Big Named Grocery Stores do not have. Simon's IGA Country Grocery Store has it. Reasonable Prices too. When My Parents were alive They would Stop By here when they were passing through. My Brother said " that he would come here with my Parents along with some great Elderly long time Friends of Our Family since the 1970's would come here too. They loved this Lil Gem Simon's Country Grocery Store here too. Edna & Betty were Our Family old long Friends that came here. And the Spaid Family...
