I want to rave about the service I received from Arecibo Home Design. I was in urgent need of a new washer and dryer so I called them, it took a few tries, but finally connected via Facebook. My request was a tall order in the days of Covid and lockdown. Their showrooms are closed, all transactions are done via phone and few businesses are open on the island. Even with these limitations, the owner reached out to me personally via Facebook to make sure I was taken care of. I explained that I needed the washer and dryer this week, and he made it happen! I was able to purchase a washer and dryer combo for less than it’s sold at the Home Depot and have it delivered to my house the same week (by Thursday) at no additional charge. I want to commend Itsan and the team at Arecibo Home Design for their customer focus and prompt action. My first encounter was at the Mayagüez location where I paid extra for an upgraded faucet only to find out the salesman sold the incorrect unit for my sink. Upon returning for the correct faucet they tried to charge me $50 for another faucet. The manager was literally angry at me for his employee's error. Then I went to the Arecibo location thinking it would be better. Purchased a toilet and vanity set for almost $1k. After a week the toilet tower started leaking due to a manufacturing defect. This part is less than $10. When I went there for the replacement part they literally acted as though I didn't understand waterline pressure and it must've been poorly installed. Really for a $10 part on a $1,000 purchase! Not going back to any of their locations after repeated poor customer...

The location in Arecibo is accesible and there is ample parking. Very nice store and very nice appliances but very poor Customer Service. I will not return. I was completely ignored and there were many employees there doing NOTHING. No one greets you at the door. There is a counter near the door and there was a girl there looking down ALL the time. There were THREE employees on the sales floor, ALL looking at their phones. NO ONE asked me if I needed help. There was only ONE young girl with red hair on the sales floor and she was ACTIVELY assisting customers while the others were busy LOOKING AT THEIR phones. VERY POOR customer service.
