Short review: Very good food and great to take the family, tables are a bit close so not the most Covid friendly. The line might take a bit if you go on rush hour. ————————— Long review———————— We arrived a Sunday at 1, it’s the busiest at this time, despite that, the speed of the line was pretty consistent but not super fast, I recommend calling in before arriving because it can save you a lot of time. The food was great, we had a full chicken, batata, yuca and majado de viandas, the chicken was a bit salty (the other times I’ve come it’s also been great) but everything else was probably among my favorite in the area. The place is pretty clean and very nicely decorated, with bright colors all around and good ac; a very family friendly place. A surprise in Arecibo, PR, recommended by a staff member at the Arecibo Radio Telescope tour. Not a traditional BBQ restaurant you would find in the states. It was cafeteria style with many selections of traditional PR food. There was a choice of BBQ pork ribs if you really wanted BBQ. I had something that cannot remember the Spanish name. It was layers of plantain with ground meat (let's call it Puerto Rican lasagna!) plus vegetables blended and mashed together like stuffing plus plantains. My wife had shrimp in butter sauce plus broccoli plus the same "stuffing." People were friendly; it was clean; restrooms nice. Wow, this place was an absolute gem! We came here on an EF tour with 34 people. Everyone was so nice! The food was absolutely some of the best we had on the island. Family of 4 totaling $27 dollars! If you go hungry here, it's your own fault. We got 4 different meats, two sides, a kids meal, guacamole salad, extra side of rice, and a drink!! Food was out of this world!
