0 STARS!!!!!!! We ordered a window from Quaker on 8/16/22. It was scheduled for delivery on 12/6/22. When the driver arrived, he refused to pull into our lot and back to our loading dock like every other driver does. Maybe it was because he ran into a parked truck on his last delivery. Even so, if you're gonna be a delivery driver, you have to be able to do your job. Anyways, I digress. After explaining that we can't unload a 5'X6' picture window on the side of the highway, the driver got in his truck and left. Yeah, just drove off without delivering the window! We contacted our sales rep, Jason, and he assured us it would be on the truck the following week. Just to be sure, we contacted Quaker later that week and spoke with a rep, Dylan, to make sure everything was in order. He assured us that it was to be loaded on the truck that Friday and delivered the 13th. Fast forward a couple weeks and Dylan is yet again promising a delivery on the 30th. Moving to the next week, Jason gets involved again. He says he is standing right next to the window on the loading dock. It will be loaded and delivered on 1/6/23. It didn't show!!! At this point I had heard enough about this that I asked my employee to let me have the paperwork and his notes and I was going to see this through. I started by calling Quaker and I spoke with Laurie. She was nice and told me what everyone was telling my employee, it'll be loaded Friday and delivered next week. I stopped her and said, I'm sorry that's not good enough anymore. I explained that a customer has a big hole in the side of their house in the middle of winter because you guys keep lying to us and them. I asked to speak to our sales rep's boss. She got me in contact with Matt. He wouldn't take or return my calls. I then called Laurie back and she provided me with Dave's extension. Of course he didn't answer, but I left a message. Maybe 30 minutes later I get a call from Matt, which was about 3 hours after I initially reached out. He informed me that it was on a truck to be delivered 1/13/23. 2 hours later I still don't feel right about this. I reach out to Dave again. He actually answered the phone. He informs me that it was a bit of an anomaly that I reached him and it was only the strange number I was calling from that prompted him to answer. After explaining the situation, he told me he was sorry to hear about this, but he was glad that he was hearing it. Apparently, Dave is the president of Quaker. He told me he would be in at 5 am the next morning, work his magic and get that window to me. He then asked what time I came in and I informed him at 7. He said ok, I will call you between 7 and 7:30 and let you know what we have figured out. It is now 2:24 and I still haven't heard from the president of the company and he made a promise to me that he would. So, I tried getting some info from the shipping department to verify that this window was either loaded each time we were told and the driver was skipping over us, or if it was never even loaded as promised. The shipping department refused to give me the info or even take my phone call. The receptionist didn't know what to tell me. This is becoming one of the most disheartening things I've had to deal with. The complete meltdown that happened within this company over 1 single window is staggering. The fact that it shook the whole core all the way to the top is mind blowing. I'm sure others have horror stories to share as well. Come on Quaker step up and show you care about more than due process that lines your pockets and show that you are committed to being better than other companies and you're not going to stomp on all the little people that you make your lavish livings off of. I would like to note that this isn't indicative of our past dealings with Quaker. Not saying there haven't been issues, but not to the extreme that this situation...
Read moreI spent over $15,000 on Quaker Manchester Windows. Seals on two windows were defective (pictured; glass has now been replaced three times); one window wouldn't open/close properly (replaced), and a sliding door wouldn't shut properly (replaced twice). The company honored its warranty to replace defective products after I filed complaints with the BBB and the Missouri Attorney General.
5 years after installation a casement window no longer works (won’t open). Reported it to the company 7 months ago. They continue to ignore requests for warranty coverage.
Will be reporting to the BBB again.
JAN 2022 - reported a non-functional casement window 10 months ago and still not repaired. Slider is practically frozen. What do you do when a company doesn't stand behind their product?
MAR 2022 - been a year and still no repair or replacement of a window that won't open. Slider sticks. Haven't heard back from the company representative.
APR 2022 - filed another complaint with the BBB. Contacted the installation company and they explained they haven't heard anything from Quaker.
MAY 2022 - filed a third BBB complaint. Problems still exist. Casement window won’t open (reported over a year ago). Slider takes significant effort to open (reported months ago). Several other problems. A warranty is worthless when it’s not honored.
October 2022 - sent an email to the vendor and the representative Quaker has sent to my house multiple times. A sliding window frame is now falling apart. Offered the window salesman the opportunity to refund my money and take all the windows. 6+ years of issues with these windows. No response yet.
December 2022 - still no responses from QUAKER WINDOWS on my last warranty claim.
January 2023 - I contacted the vendor and Quaker's representative and the claim still has not been resolved. Over 10,000 views of this review and Quaker still hasn't responded.
August 2023 - Quaker still has not honored the warranty on the windows. Quaker acknowledged the issues and even responded on Google Reviews almost a year ago, but has not repaired or replaced the defective windows reported in the fall of 2022. I'll keep updating these reviews with pictures for all to see.
2025: I gave up trying to get warranty coverage after the sliding door frame cracked (again) and the trim on a couple windows started falling off (which the company never replaced even though I contacted their representative as they directed). Huge waste of...
Read moreI have repeatedly reached out to Quaker Windows & Doors regarding ongoing performance issues with the Quaker door systems installed at my residence. Despite years (2022) of documented communication, Quaker has not responded to multiple emails requesting that a qualified technician inspect the doors and verify proper installation and adjustment. I have been given the run around.
After Euro-Wall Systems—the manufacturer of my other large door systems—conducted a site inspection with Quality Windows & Doors present, their 5 page findings confirmed multiple adjustment and sealing issues (including air infiltration, daylight at the sill, and incomplete perimeter sealing). While those observations related specifically to Euro-Wall systems, the same air infiltration, wind noise, and even animal odors persist through the Quaker doors in my kitchen and master bedroom areas. Christian from Quality Windows and Doors (dealer) was on site as well and he acknowledged that the same was taking place with Quaker and he would need to find a technician that, “knows what he’s doing”…it’s been crickets since.
I shared these findings with Quaker’s service and leadership teams (including Mr. Knoll, Ms. Demars, and Ms. Herzing) and requested that Quaker send a senior technician to perform a diagnostic inspection of its doors. To date, there has been no acknowledgment or follow-up from Quaker, even after clear evidence that the doors may not be performing to manufacturer standards. My wife has messaged on social media and given the same excuse of, “someone will be reaching out”. Well no one has.
This lack of response and accountability is disappointing—especially for a company that promotes premium products intended for energy efficiency and comfort. At minimum, customers should receive technical support or inspection when manufacturer-level performance concerns are documented.
I remain hopeful Quaker will review this matter seriously and arrange for a qualified technician to assess the products they supplied.
