This was our 2nd time staying at PVR. The 1st stay was with 2 other couples back in Oct '21. My hubby & I arrived Xmas for our most recent 3 night stay & stayed in the Ranch Suite. We chose that suite because it has 2 bathrooms (one for each of us!). |The king bed was comfy in the separate bedroom. The main living area was good sized, with a full kitchen. ||There were a few draw backs to the Ranch Suite, but none were "deal breakers". 😕 The really small microwave made it difficult to even pop a bag of popcorn. It's barely big enough for a frozen dinner. (We didn't use the gas stove during our stay, as we planned to just reheat leftovers in the microwave). There were only 2 regular sized ice trays in the freezer, which was a little inconvenient. ||The bathrooms in the Ranch Suite don't have any exhaust fans or vents, so bring some air freshener. FOOTNOTE: We didn't choose to stay in the other suites, such as the Jungle Suite, because those bathrooms have an open air ceiling (shared with main living/sleeping area) & so... if you're a bit shy about bodily functions, you may want to choose the Ranch Suite that has 2 bathrooms that are closed off. We found this out from friends who stayed in the other Suites during our last visit in Oct '21. 😆||And watch your step in the Ranch Suite when walking between rooms & into the bathrooms, as they change heights or have steps at the landings & are somewhat of a trip hazard. They could use strips of yellow tape across them, as a precaution.⚠️||The suite was clean, decor was charming, towels were thick & fluffy & the suite had been heated up prior to our arrival. The gas fireplace kept the main living & kitchen room nice & warm. There was an electric faux fireplace in the bedroom which kept it plenty warm too. ||We had asked before our arrival on Xmas for there to be plenty of dry firewood for the outdoor fire pit (near the fountain) because it had rained 3 days prior to our arrival date. Roger msg'd us back quickly & said it would be stored in a covered porch area behind the back of the bldg. ||We found plenty of dry wood there, even a rolling cart to move it to the fire pit. We had a nice fire outside on our last night & roasted some marshmallows (don't forget to bring marshmallows & long sticks!). ||It was nice & quiet during our stay & we appreciate that it's adults only, so no loud little ones are runnin' around. All in all, it was another nice comfortable stay at Panther Valley Ranch. We came to enjoy 2 days of Jeep trail riding with friends at the Off Road Park which is literally half mile down the road. The new highway exit off of Hwy 5 takes you right to PVR too,...
Read moreI'm so glad we chose this place! We stayed in the Victory Suite. It was exceptionally clean(smelled great), and cozy. They had firewood available for the wood burning fireplace, which we used every night. We enjoyed the large bathtub, which can easily accommodate a large person (something i worried about before arrival). There isn't a separate stand up shower, but the tub did have a removable shower head to use. We loved having coffee on the back patio every morning (coffee pot AND kcup style coffee available) and having the horses meet us just over the fence. We also saw several deer from the patio. The bed and sheets were VERY comfortable. We slept wonderfully every night. There was no cell service, but the wifi worked great. We never had an issue getting in touch with someone if we needed to. They also had satellite TV in the living room and bedroom. We enjoyed walking to the pond, sitting at the large wooden swing, and walking out on the pier to fish. We look forward to returning to this beautiful place, and would confidently recommend...
Read moreThe hosts of Panther Valley Ranch provide a very clean, comfortable place to stay and are a joy to work with! We stayed at The Cabin on their property. We wanted peace and quiet for a romantic getaway and they delivered! The property is for adults (no one under 18 ), which is what we were looking for. The Cabin is apart from the suites, so we didn’t hear any noise from anyone else staying on the property. The Cabin was tidy and stocked with the essentials to prepare light meals. It was very comfortable and perfect for two people. Panther Valley Ranch is conveniently located a few miles out of Hot Springs, so it was easy to be away from the traffic after a day in Hot Springs. It’s a few miles from the Mid-Century Science Museum, another hidden gem. The online booking, check in and check out process was easy and Roger and Jerrie are excellent hosts. Highly...
