Great part of town for a section 8 housing apartment. If you have children in middle school they could throw a rock and hit Arlington Middle School, (but the bus line still comes through there if you don't want your kid to walk) which is a good school as far as public schools go, and the Arlington Elementary and Arlington High are about within 2 or 3 miles away. The place is clean and the management is kind and helpful. The apartments are big, 2 and 3 bedrooms, but the heating and air is electric (the last time I checked which was a LONG while ago, 5+ years, therefore it wouldn't hurt to double check that) so get ready to PAY when the utility bill comes. You may save on rent but they make up for it in utilities. Hopefully you can qualify for some help with that if you can qualify to live here, though. Unfortunately the waiting list to get in is a year, but it's definitely worth the wait. This is probably the best subsidized apartment complex in Shelby County.
