Tonight we were reminded why we havenât been here since 2024. This place is the poster child for a poorly run restaurant. We arrived at 6pm. Weâre seated at almost 7pm food didnât come out till about 8pm. It does not matter that it was Cinco de Mayo. Did you not plan for this day? We have been to other Mexican restaurants on this day & it was never like this. We waited so long that the waiter wasnât making eye contact, you would have thought he made sure that we had chips & full glasses but no. Gave us our one drink, the chips got down to the crumbs & my hubs had to flag him down for a drink, my drink was gone & my water glass was at the very bottom. oh letâs talk a it the âhostâ who acted annoyed & got smart when we asked questions. Ironically she was our server last time & she still doses not know how to talk to people & be kind. The staff was leaning on the wall talking instead of walking around seeing how they could help out. Why not pitch in when you see people waiting for food & drink? If the servers would have at least walked around & informed us & the other families what was going on or given updates, refills etc..that may have helped some. Today we said hey letâs give them another chance surely things have...

The employees were clearly not excited to service our group and even told us no at the front door. After a few minutes the hostess decided to go ahead and let us eat there. Once we were seated, the waitresses that were serving our table clearly let us know that they didn't want to serve our larger group. We had menus snatched from our hands, attitudes and one waitress even went as far as calling our children "dirty children" in Spanish to other employees. Of course our children were not dirty, but they had on their uniforms and had just played a game. The food also wasn't fresh...stale chips, cheese dip with frozen chunks in it and stale taco shells. Do not waste your money at this restaurant. There are several other friendly Mexican restaurant options with better service and food...
Read moreI was not super impressed with their food. I ordered chicken & rice & it was bland not what Iâm used to. It definitely was not worth $14 so I could see why the place was like empty at 2pm on a Sun. I threw that mess away & got me some amazing Mexican food at El Presidente in Covington , TN. Their chicken & rice was the bomb with onions & bell peppers, & queso dip on top. El Presidente was packed because their food was better. The stuff I got at Pericos was supposed to be a full order but looked like lunch orders & they cut corners on freshness & quality. El Presidente was way more tasty. We just have no Amazing Mexican spots in Arlington & this Pericos is a cookie cutter that does not have great food to me. If you starving it may be good but with stuff being so high nobody wants to pay for lackluster food. They need new cooks or something...
