Pretty good thrift store with a few annoyances. If you’re going to shop here make sure you have time to spare. Since everything is organized by color rather than size you have to dig through all of the items to find something that will fit.
The store thermostat is set pretty high so on hot summer days it can feel very warm in there.
The pricing is all over the map but pretty decent. I shop mostly for dress shirts. I know my brands inside and out. I’ve found shirts that retail for $70+ new for under $5 and then there will be a shirt from Walmart’s own brand that originally retailed for $10 for the same price.
They staple the price onto the clothes. Be aware of where the staples are. Whoever does it sometimes puts the price in a bad place like stapling right through a collar and the collar stays doing permanent damage. Some price tags are barely holding on. If you find one in that condition and you really want the item, get it to the checkout fast. If the tag comes off they won’t sell it to you, even if you’ve got the tag in your hand.
The checkout lines can be long. Usually there are two cashiers, sometimes only one. If they’re backed up there’s no sense of urgency and another checkout won’t be opened. The wait can be a long time. But, if you’ve got $300 worth of stuff that you’re only paying $25 for (like I usually do) then the wait...
Read moreI had a recent horrible experience at this specific thrift store. I bought about 4or5 pairs or slacks and 2 shirts and 2 jackets. While ringing up the cashier realized one of my jackets did not have a tag and told me to go to the other side of the store to get it tagged by someone. Which was kind of weird. I mean she had already rang up all my items and their was a line behind me why would I leave where I am to go all the way to the back of the store?? I politely asked her to call someone up to assist with the pricing which she was reluctant to do. When the so called "manager" came up she said I had to wait 20 minutes for a price. Which was absolutely terrible. Why would I wait 20 minutes for a price when I was currently in line. Well some random woman rudely interrupts our conversation and says "because that's how things go here" I couldn't believe someone interrupted our conversation and was so incredibly rude. I then had to tell her to mind her business and that I was not even speaking to her. She replied "well your speaking to my friend ". I could not believe that the manager had allowed a friend or whomever she was to her behave in that manner to a paying customer. I paid for my items and left. What terrible Customer service I received and did not...
Read moreI visit this thrift store often. It is organized and clean. I am always pleased with my purchase. However, I find the employees to be very rude. No one wants to help when I have a question, they have an attitude of “I just don’t really want to be here” And could care less about helping customers. They make rude noises directly at the customers when straightening the hanging clothes. I was in the store Sunday evening knowing that it closes at seven I was hurrying so employees could go home. They made announcements about closing time and of how long we had to shop pushing the time forward every time they made the announcement by 10 minutes they said we had 30 minutes left when actually it was 40. While in line they said the store would be closing please come check out at 6:50 they turned the lights off. While the young lady was ringing my items up she paused in between each one to converse with the other cashier about outside of work activities. In such a hurry to close but yet had time to stop taking care of the customer to talk about what she’d be doing after work. I’ve worked in retail and I know this employee behavior is JUST WRONG! The young gentleman is the only one...
