Disgusting! This place should be shut down! My very first time visiting this place and it is just a dumpy hole in the ground burger joint. I usually LOVE places like these... But when I walked into this establishment, I couldn't believe it was even in business...
The Ambience:
The walls are filthy and wallpaper coming down, the entire place looks very OLD but that isn't the only issue. The floors were dirty, only two tables in the place and they were sticky. It STUNK horribly because the toilet and bathroom is right next to the tables where you eat.
The Food:
After looking around, I was hesitant to order ANYTHING but decided that its hard to mess up corn dogs. So I ordered my son and I a corn dog each. When we got them, they were frozen in the center so we naturally asked her to fix the order...
Her idea of fixing the order? Throw the half-eaten corndogs right back into the grease - saliva and all... (I guess she felt the spit woukd burn off in the hot grease) but I was DISGUSTED nonetheless as she handed me back my TWO half eaten corn dogs as though this was acceptable. When I asked for my money back. She would only give me the money back for my corn dogs and not the entire order... Which tbh is fine but I think given the level of dissatisfaction that was obviously on my face, she should have given me my money back for the drinks too...
All in all... ...
Read moreThis is one of those dirty window finds that lets you know the real America is still alive. It's a non-corporate establishment that serves the kind of food you'd expect to find on the menu at fast food drive-thrus--but this is not fast food. Everything is made to order when you order it and it's all delicious. A mom and pop op, Mom came out to ask how my turkey burger was and showed a genuine beam of pride when I expressed my enthusiastic approval. The menu is a bit more extensive than a fast food place would be, and the cooking time is necessarily slower. The space is definitely more limited, but this lends itself to a greater intimacy, which is the real magic here. You may have to share one of the four tables as you wait for your order--most everyone gets theirs to go--but this is part and parcel to the idea that everyone who comes here is part of a comfortable family that shares a wonderful secret: this little joint located on the backside of a neighborhood convenience store is a buried nugget of gold. Try it and you'll be back again and again. Unless you're a snob and you let the rough look of the clientele put you off. This is a real eatery for...
Read moreHad a craving for a good burger today this should not have been my stop but I was in the area and tried coming here another day but they were closed during open hours so when i saw it was open i stopped. I know it's often best NOT to try new spots when you're having a particular craving. Safer to go where you know so it'll hit the spot well I went against that unfortunately and feel I wasted my money. Their score is pretty good but to me this is Average AT BEST. Not bad but I've had much better. Price is good for what you get though. The meat def has a slight mystery meat after taste so I'm sure its beef with fillers.I asked her what comes on the burger she said mustard ketchup Mayo. I told her to add extra mayo well not only did I not get any ketchup or mustard, she didn't give me extra mayo so the burger was quite dry. The fries were pretty good because of the seasoning. Seems like some kind of salty curry seasoning other than that nothing spectacular. I...
