The other day, my 12 year old DELL XPS 8300 would not completely fire up. It just continually kept going through this diagnostic process. I tried going in through safe mode, but nothing worked. Of course, I knew if it's shot, it's shot, but I needed to try something. Had too much data, documents & pics in it, but I didn't know who to call or where to take it that I could trust! One, due to the personal information on it and two, afraid to be charged more than we could afford to spend on such an old machine. I grabbed my phone again and typed in computer repair near me, and this PCTech company popped up. Turns out this place is a stones throw from our veterinarian and just across Hwy. 141 from the house. I called there, and a gentleman by the name of Nick answered. I explained what was up, so we took the machine to him. He explained what his minimum charges were, which, in my opinion, were very fair. He had it a day or two, called me up, and stated that my Windows 10 had somehow gotten very corrupted. Nick did a clean Windows 10 reinstall and saved 100% of everything on my machine for a very fair charge. When I fired it up, not at all being a 65 year old techie, I was a bit lost. I called PCTech, and Nick got on the phone, I told him that I had some items that I couldn't find. He remotely accessed my machine and helped me to find those items with no additional charges. I highly recommend PCTech & Nick for any computer issues you may encounter without any concern over a lack of integrity or honesty. He has both, and he has any future business of mine. I will refer anyone to PCTech if I'm ever asked if I know where to go for computer issues!...
