My family and I have been coming here for years now. From bales of straw, pumpkins, bird seed to fresh fruits and veggies, and everything before, after, and in-between.. You can find many odds and ends from local farmers as well. I love the raw honey and honeycomb and their Apple cider (including their Apple Cider Slushies!!) I purchase my canning essentials from Nelson's as well. The atmosphere is so inviting and everyone is so knowledgeable about everything they sell. They have the cutest small farm animals you can feed/pet. In the summers, they have a beautiful sunflower field, where you are invited to take pictures. It truly is breathtakingly beautiful. They have fresh donuts and other baked goods, freshly canned salsas, Seasonings, candies, knick-knacks/souvenirs, bird feeders, and bushel (and smaller) baskets. The prices are outstanding and very fair for the quality of each product! Visit Nelson's Farm Market, and you will not be disappointed! We love it so much, we drive an hour there and back just to see what's new and available....
Read moreI've been going to Nelson's Farm for 25+ years. Always enjoyed seeing the animals. The prices and quality of the produce are great. I never thought I'd leave as disappointed as I did today. The kids working there know nothing about customer service. The girl in the bakery may as well have just asked me what the hell I want. The lady in front of me got the same attitude from her. I was pushing a stroller with my son and went down an aisle the stroller wouldn't fit down. I was clearing backing out of the aisle when a kid on a fork truck dropped a giant box of cauliflower very obviously, right in my way. No apologies, nothing. These kids are rude and shouldnt be allowed to interact with the people spending their money there. I was very close to emptying my cart as leaving. The girl with the purple hair was great though. They should all take notes from the way she...
Read moreThis is one of the most honest connections to the Earth that I have access to. Locally sourced produces is the norm and even pick your own freshness is available for some foods. Very strong ties to the community are the norm for Nelson's. I am blessed with outher markets in this area as well, and local farmers also have direct contact with customers, so I do not say it lightly, and hopefully without insulting anyone else, but Nelson's is my most used outlet for produce. Not always them, but usually them. I never walk out of the business without gratitude for not only Nelson's, but to all the hardworking contributers of the market. I consider them as a vital link to my ability to work as a professional in a competitive field while using Nelson's and all the food outlets open to me to maintain and advance my good health. Again, especially...
