This was our first year experiencing Red Vein and all I can say is I sincerely regret missing the past years. This place is amazing! We are huge horror fans in my household and Halloween is more of a mindset than a time of year or holiday. We have been to many other haunts and regularly frequent the regional theme parks and their Haunt events. Over the years these events seemingly have been tamed down to appease the family crowds and every year feel neutered slightly more. Red Vein was anything but. The storyline, setting, actors, props, houses, atmosphere, even the way groups are kept small (allowing for a more frightening and intimate experience) we’re all pitch perfect. I sincerely could go on for a very long time about the positives for this place. The only con I can see is the possibly long wait time to get in the first house, but I would actually argue this is not a con at all. We visited twice (10/23/22 and 10/30/22.) Our wait to get in on 10/23 was about 45 minutes and on 10/30 was about 1 hour. There were scare actors throughout the queue and a fanstastic 80’s style synth score playing to further enhance the wait experience I would argue that it made the anticipation of what was to come all the more exciting. The price is absolutely reasonable at about 21 dollars a person for what amounted to a nearly 45 minute plus walkthrough of four separate and distinct houses. Special effects were absolutely Hollywood caliber in my opinions and each and every actor gave it 100 percent their all. I am pretty hard to scare, but there were absolutely a few moments that got me, and not just jump scares, but genuine moments of fear and unsettling dread. The gift shop at the end was awesome and reasonably priced as well. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and really made the entire experience fantastic. The gift shop cashier explained the upcoming Krampusnacht event and was extremely kind and friendly both times we went. All around I can’t give this place enough praise. Our family has found our new Halloween tradition for sure. Thank you so much for an...

Read moreI’ve been to red vein the past 3 years. Last year I went twice and the first time was awesome, the second time they rushed us through so there was always a group 10 feet ahead of us so we missed out on all the scares. This year the same thing happened, we decided to come back the next week to see if it was better. While we were in line for tickets one of the employees announced to the line that the last update he had for the line time to get in was an hour and that a bunch of people just came through so the wait time would be even longer. He said it was their busiest night and they were going to have to shut down early but we would be able to go through. After hearing that we paid double the money for the vip passes because we had a 70 year old with us and we didn’t want her to have to stand for that long. When we got to the line to go through the haunt it was very short. When we waited in line the week prior it took about 10 minutes and it was longer than it was this time. We were immediately disappointed and felt like we were conned into buying the vip pass. Whatever you do, don’t buy the VIP pass, you can’t see the line beforehand so you have to base it off the false wait time the employee tells you. They also pushed us through like cattle again. It’s sad because it was really good when we went in the past, they shove everybody through so fast now...
