The pros: cabins are modern, well built and extremely well appointed. The heating system was good , as it was 18 degrees at night in late March. For being around 20 cabins here of all different sizes and shapes you do see a good attempt to make it as private as possible. The grounds and cabin were very clean. The lake is very close ( 1-2 min walk) Beds were ok, and lots of towels and bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped with just about everything you would need to cook just about anything you bring, plus a outdoor grill. Hot tub was clean, and the management was quick to respond to all questions. It was quiet , romantic, and very Remote. The cons: No one says anything about single primitive road leading in and out of the actual location... Not the drive 45 mins away from anything ( that's super real as there is NOTHING out here) but the awful " driveway." We came in a 2021 civic si. The roads from ashland to hyatt lake are very clear and the temp is 65.. but the driveway is 2+ feet deep divots an 6+ foot snow banks. Don't bring a car... This is 4x4 or lift kit only. It was not a safe drive up that driveway. It could have easily have been a 5 star location, but who puts 10 million dollars worth of cabins down a 10k dirt road??? The bbq was out of propane... Petty? Maybe, but for $300 a night you expect everything advertised to be available to you, plus I brought food specifically to bbq, and could not. Hot tub was exactly 104 as stated!! For 15 mins with jets on... The lights did not work and the breaker blew several times 🙄... The deck had a literal 4-5 feet of snow and was completely unusable. Leaving 80% of the outside space a bust. In conclusion, I would stay here again.. I will bring a truck not a sports car. It's a very nice place and it's worth the price.

We rented cabin #46 for an extended weekend out of the city. The cabin was really cute, clean, and nicely maintained. The kitchen had everything you'd expect and more (probably more than my home's kitchen). Just 2-3 mile drive up the road was Table Mountain, which had an awesome hill for sledding with the family. Plenty of nature to take in all around you, just be prepared for snow in the winter months. There was 6-9 inches of snowfall the night before checkout but the ~35 miles of mountain/prairie roads back to Ashland were plowed and treated by our 10am checkout for a beautiful and safe drive home.

We stayed in Cabin 44 for two nights. It’s a clean and cozy place with everything you need — from kitchenware to a Christmas tree. Very quiet location, surrounded by a lake and forests. We will definitely come back in the winter season.

I often stress about forgetting things before going on a trip, especially if it's at a remote location. I'm the kind of person who will pack everything but the kitchen sink to prepare for any eventuality. We stayed at Cabin 52 and every single thing we may have possibly wanted/needed was already there. The kitchen was well stocked with clean dishes and tools, plenty of towels/pillows/blankets, instructions and tips for everything and anything we may have wanted to know.

We were blown away by the beautiful accommodations and this was possibly the most relaxing, peaceful, and tranquil vacation I've ever been on. There was a pre-heated hot tub, we went on hikes to explore the area, and Cocorico just down the road had the best food. The lake is low this time of year, but it was fun to explore the lake bed and look for treasures that were left behind. The chipmunks on the deck were fun and friendly guests too (I even had one brave enough to eat out of my hand).

If you need a reset, this is the...

I brought my kids & nephew up last year for a couple days over spring break. We stayed in Cabin 33 which offered more than enough space for me to relax & the kids to be kids. We brought plenty of food to cook meals & I was impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked. I literally had everything I needed. After dinner, sitting in front of the entertainment center with the fireplace putting off a warm glow, snuffled up with my kids, watching movies...it was exactly what we needed. The hot tub was more than I expected. Big, clean & clearly well maintained. It was the perfect addition to an already amazing mini vacay. Comfy beds, quiet morning's & the snow park up the road were my highlights. Thanks for a wonderful stay. Maybe we'll see you guys...
