Handy Spot Liquor — Local services in Ashley

My wife and I bought a $100 gift card from this place for our neighbors who mowed our lawn for us many times. Multiple times our neighbors tried to get a bud light keg and they didn't have one.

Lie #1: The "manager" said they ALWAYS have Bud Light kegs. WRONG, JERK!

Lie #2: The manager said that they haven't sold those gift cards for 3 years, then 2 years, then 1 1/2 years throughout the conversation and asked why it took so long for them to use the card. WHAT DOES THAT MATTER, JERK?

Lie #3:

Finally, Ye's Bottle had a couple of Bud Light kegs as the neighbors just ran out of beer in their keggerator. Our neighbors went to use the gift card and they were told it was not valid.

Lie #4: I could go on and on with the multiple lies I was told from the "manager" who I found out was the owner and wouldn't give me his name.

In a nut shell this guy had horrible lies/excuses and accused us of stealing the gift card and gifting it to our neighbors. We consider ourselves honest people and easy to work with. This guy did not offer any type of resolution... Therefore, I must write this review to warn people to either:

Never go here

Don't pay with cash (we are going to check our bank statements)

Warn others to go elsewhere, where they will be...

Stopped in last week for the first time while passing through the area and was incredibly impressed with the selection of bourbon & scotch! Selection easily better than a lot of the “big box” stores I’ve been in and excellent prices. I was lucky enough to stop in while the owner was there and he was super friendly along with the rest of his helpful staff. The store was well organized and very clean. I was so impressed during my first visit that I stopped again on my back home to load up on some more bottles I can’t get around home. I will definitely be a repeat customer in the future! I did not buy any wine or beer, but appeared to have a large selection of both as well. Highly recommend checking them out & super convenient being only like a mile off...

Great spot for ALL your liquor needs. The owners are incredibly helpful and friendly. My wife and/or I stop in at least once a week and we don't even live in the area. Great selection of rare Whiskey, which is my passion hobby. Tipsy and his wife are absolutel gems. Stop in , say hi.
