Dollar General — Local services in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

Store#06369 Crawford, Ga. With Fred's closing the two stores left will sure fine themselves busier. With this being said the Dollar General store needs to gets its act together. The isle are full of merchandise carts waiting for staff to to unload and place merchandise on shelves in their proper places. This is the only store that I have seen in constant disarray. What seems to be the problem? Lack of staff maybe ? I have come in 3 days in a row hoping to find a product restocked on the shelf that I see in a box on a cart waiting to be unpacked. After day 3 I decided to get it in Athens on my next trip to Krogers. I am not blaming any of the workers. They seem to be busy, One on the register, Manager in office, who does help on register when another register needs to be opened and one, 1, person trying to stock the shelves with merchandise. Poor thing, there should be at least 2 if not 3. This could be a great store but you need to hire another person per shift to help with the overload of merchandise. With your increased business you should be able to afford them now. If Family Dollar can keep their isles cleared and shelves stocked daily you should find out how they do it because I usually only see one person running the register when I visit and that's it. I never see anyone stocking. Maybe they have a graveyard shift and they do it when they're closed.

PS : Those carts are an accident waiting to happen and also could be a fire hazard if the place were to catch fire.

Please clean up your act.

What a disaster! Shame on Dollar General for not giving managers the amount of labor hours needed to run a store properly. The corporate stooges need to come down from the Ivory Tower and work alongside the people in the stores. How about fixing the stores you have and quit worrying about...
